Stop The Presses! Joy Behar Gets One Right

As we all know, even a broken clock is right twice a day. Our broken watch d'jour, Joy Behar, is usually so far away from reality it boggles the mind.

However, as witnessed in the following clip, Behar acknowledges that there is a level of hypocrisy amongst liberals, and seems to even understand that Barack Obama himself, as he has gone golfing more in 9 months than George W. Bush did in his first 3 years in office (in addition to playing basketball, having date nights, holding Wednesday party nights, and flying to Copenhagen to pitch for the Olympics) is hypocrite in chief.

Of course, the editorializing is mine, but I'm sure Joy thought it...

As a woman I just want to say, I don't give a rat's a** who BO asks to play basketball with him or who goes golfing with him. He's not making policy on the basketball course or the golf course. Hell, he's not even doing his job when he's in the White House because he's too busy throwing hoops and riding around in golf carts.
While he's out playing with the boys, our troops are waiting for a decision on whether or not Obama is going to send them help or not.
This discussion on "The View" is bull crap, just like that show.
So there!

Wow, TCL... telling it like you feel!

I agree with your principle, that he needs to lay off the golf and b-ball and do the job he was elected to do. I also generally agree that it makes no difference who he does these things with.

I do actually appreciate Behar recognizing the hypocrisy though... it's not often that she's intellectually honest.

And while I otherwise never watch 'The View', Bill O'Reilly will be on there Friday. He's a tough nut, and it's always interesting to see him interact with Behar. I must admit, I already have my DVR set...

I guess it was a surprise to hear Ms. Behar (or as my hubby calls her...Blowhard) negatively comment on Obama. Maybe she's ticked off at him for not being liberal enough for her. Who knows.

I heard O'Reilly was going to be on their show Friday. I never watch the show, so I guess I'll have to wait for the highlights on Bill's show. Friday is going to be a big night on Beck's show. Lord Monckton & John Bolton are on for the whole hour.

Did you notice tonight how Bill is starting to get it about Obama...complaining about all the radicals he has around him. I don't know what's taken him so long. I have been getting so fed up with his being overly easy on the libs. I wonder if he finally realizes that more people don't like what Obama is doing, so it's OK for him to start criticizing Obama more. Or it could be that Beck is getting higher ratings than him, so he better start getting with it.
Just seems O'Reilly has been behind the curve with Obama.

My impression is that she wasn't so much calling out Obama or talking negative about him, as she was having a reality check moment where she realized her own (headline news) show's ratings might hurt if she's got zero integrity elsewhere.

Regarding O'Reilly, I think he knew with Beck and Hannity there, he could play the "straight guy" and hold his viewers. He actually has shown signs all along that he's not on board with Obama, but I think since he's now the 'patriarch' of FNC (with Hume in semi-retirement) and pretty much the face of the network, it was good business to extend an olive branch, of sorts. It did win him the interview - the only hard hitting one Obama has ever had, so there is something to be said for it.

And my DVR records Beck every day, so no doubt I'll be watching Friday...

Now that Obama has FNC on his hit list, I wonder if he'll ever give Bill another interview.

I usually can't stand to listen to Joy (or look at her smug face), but happened to have this on in the background the other day and was surprised to hear her say this, even though I'm with CL and couldn't care less who he plays with.

I'm looking forward to Friday when Bill will be on The View.

Why did O'Reilly even run this clip from The View? When Obama condescendingly refers to a female reporter as "sweetie," it's obvious what he thinks of women.

TCL - I know it's been formally stated by the WH that there will be no interviews granted to the Sunday show - any official, as far as I know.

I'd doubt Obama will ever appear on FNC again, he knows he's got no honest answer worth a crap and he'll be exposed.

Tammy - I agree.. can't wait 'till Friday. I love when he goes on that show, he really puts them in their place.

Ticked - it all started because some media (NYT, WAPO) tried to say he was forming an 'all boys club' so that's why the View ladies were discussing it. I think Bill used it because Joy actually had a moment of truth, and as a promo for his appearance.
