Dennis Kucinich Disrespects Himself, Changes to Yes Vote on ObamaCare

Apparently a ride in Air Force One has more effect on a person's values than previously understood.

Following Monday's trip to Strongsville, Ohio aboard President Barack Hussein Obama's personal torture chamber to attend yet another closed-to-the-public, filled with untruths, "by invitation only" pep-rally for ObamaCare, Congress Critter Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) has become the first DemocRat to change from a "no" vote to a "yes" vote as the arm-twisting continues in a disgraceful attempt to override the will of Americans and overthrow The Constitution.

From his press conference:

“I’ve decided to cast a vote in favor of the legislation,” Mr. Kucinich said at a morning news conference in the Capitol. “If my vote is to be counted, let it count now for passage of the bill, hopefully in the direction of comprehensive health care reform.”

[...]“I believe health care is a civil right.”

Kucinich had been hiding under every rock he could find since the Presidential Pimp-Mobile returned to the District of Criminals late Monday.

From New York Times:

In an interview five days ago, Mr. Kucinich said he could not support the legislation and dismissed suggestions that his vote would derail the Democratic health care agenda. But since then, the congressman has come under extraordinary pressure from groups across the Democratic spectrum, including Moveon.org, which encouraged him to support the bill.

“In the past week it’s become clear that the vote on the final health bill will be very close,” Mr. Kucinich said. “I take this vote with the utmost seriousness. I’m quite aware of the historic fight, which has lasted the last century.”

He added: “The president’s visit to my district on Monday underscores the urgency of this vote.”

In a private conversation aboard Air Force One, en route to Ohio on Monday, President Obama pressed Mr. Kucinich for his support for the bill. The White House did not know what the congressman had decided until earlier today, when his aides advised administration officials and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of his plans.

While supporting the Senate bill, Mr. Kucinich said he did not like the procedure that might be used to pass it without an up-or-down vote in the House.

“I don’t like much of anything about this process,’’ Mr. Kucinich said.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer today reported:

But he {Kucinich} acknowledged this morning that his choice now is to either vote "no" on principle, and thereby possibly block the biggest (though imperfect) advance in health coverage in decades, or compromise for the good of the estimated 30 million more Americans who could gain insurance.

"I have taken this fight further" than many other Congress members, Kucinich said, citing his two presidential campaigns in which he advocated universal coverage and his bill introduction and other attempts in the House to get single-payer insurance.

During his press conference, Kucinich joked about the possible need for a parachute as appropriate attire.

When asked about his change of position and how it relates to the ability of others to vote in favor of the destruction of America, Kucinich said, "Well, if I can vote for this bill, there's not many people who shouldn't be able to support it." Kucinich is known to be one of the most leftist and radical "Progressives" in the District of Criminals.

Personal note: I used to respect Dennis Kucinich. While I don't agree with any of his domestic policy beliefs, he used to be a man who stood by his values. He said what he meant, and he meant what he said. Apparently there's now one less person of principle in the District of Criminals.

Soloman, Sorry man, I never respected the kook.

Kid -

I hear you. I didn't respect his positions, and I despise the fact that he almost singlehandedly destroyed Cleveland in the 70's.

That being said, any respect for his ability to stand firm on his issues... shot.

Soloman, I have this vision of real current events that mainly consists of the politicians stealing hundreds of billions if not trillions of dollars. Literally stealing it. Money laundering with no audit trail.

I just can't figure out how these people get elected over and over and over...

One has to wonder what REALLY was said aboard Air Force One/ or promised? I am thoroughly disgusted -it is senseless in even voting any more/ all we do is exchange one set of crooks (sold out to corporate interests) for another.

This bill? The promise (sob) of 45 million more receiving care? Your present insurance safe ---pre-conditons coverage. NOT - I've read it with all the legalesse, and cross references. EVERTHING you're hearing on TV is a lie.

This is Medicade on steroids...try just try getting a doctor with MEDICADE plus did you know that your GP will be penalized if he refers you to a specialist..

ALSO did you know that much of the health (really insurance bonanza) has already been passed in the STIMULUS bill - SECRETLY --TRUE SEE
