White Hoods? Where Do I Sign?

While I don't completely agree with Tom Tancredo's statement regarding a civics literacy test as seen in the following video, I understand the sentiment with which the statement was made.

Sentiment aside, the beauty of America is that each legal citizen over 18 years of age who is not a felon may register, and then has the right to vote.

The American voting population overall had become very uneducated before this last election cycle. I condemn those on the political right just as much as those on the left. Had the right been more educated, John McCain would never have been nominated to represent the Republican Party.

I truly wonder how many of those who voted in 2008 even know the names of the Speaker of The House and the Senate Majority Leader, or knew how many Justices are on The Supreme Court. I wonder how many could name the three branches of government and describe the purpose of each.

After the election we came to learn that many people literally thought Sarah Palin said she could see Russia from her house, and many did not even know who was Barack Hussein Obama's Vice-President.

It is clear the left was much more guilty than the right of such transgressions, as we all witnessed upon the release of clips from How Obama Got Elected shortly after the election.

But I digress.

Rachel Maddow claiming that those who attended Friday night's Tea Party rally in Nashville were wearing "White Hoods?" Come on... that's even beneath you, Ms. Maddow. After all, you're a Rhodes Scholar. You're educated. You're smarter than all of us...

This is from the network that claims that Fox News Channel is pushing an agenda, and that Fox News Channel is extreme and over the top in its presentation.

Also worthy of note is the fact that while Maddow is correct in stating Sarah Palin is scheduled to be paid for her appearance, she conveniently forgets to mention the fact that Palin has planned to return the entire fee back to the organization. From her USA Today Op-Ed:

"I will not benefit financially from speaking at this event. My only goal is to support the grassroots activists who are fighting for responsible, limited government — and our Constitution. In that spirit, any compensation for my appearance will go right back to the cause."

I suppose it would matter what Ms. Maddow said tonight... if anyone were watching.

Heck, on Thursday night she was beaten in the ratings by Joy Behar.

Ouch.

Tom Tancredo' remarkabout the civics literacy test was a layup for the Left. I really don't think Tancredo knew that that's what they did in the Southern states to keep Blacks from voting. At least I'm hoping he didn't know.

He was much better off complaining that they don't teach civics anymore in schools and approach it from that angle.

But, really comes off bad and gives the Left more bullets to use what they always say, Conservatives are all racists.

And MEET THE PRESS has Maddow on as a panel from time to time. WHAT ARE THEY THINKING?
That's honest reporting with integrity?
They hate Hannity, he's "too agenda-driven" but they'll have MADDOW on? Shows how far down our media's gone.
"White Hoods"...the left says these things because they know SOMEBODY's going to hear it and believe them.
awful.

Samuel -

Thanks for visiting.

I agree... Tancredo had a thought that would have been better served through a different approach. It's not about immigration, but it is hugely about real and honest education of our history.

Therefore, yes - the left thinks we're all racists.. and I get an awesome title for my post!

I'm here for you, man!

Being a former lib, I've learned to dissect their thinking rather easily, and I actually like to laugh at what the left has become, because it is merely a shadow of its once proud self.

I agree... I can't believe they have Maddow on MTP.

Can you imagine Hannity or Beck on a Fox News Sunday panel? They'd have cows at Huffington Post!
