Toyota Recall

I know this isn't politics, but it is important.

Toyota has a major recall going on for a very serious safety defect in much of their product line. They have suspended sales of eight vehicles in their product line, and are recalling a number of vehicles built from 2005-2010. The recall is related to a sticking accelerator pedal.

Toyota issued a statement about their current (January) recall, as the company tries to stay ahead of a potential danger on the road to its customers. They didn't go as far as saying that the vehicles should not be driven, but rather that they have been recalled in order to fix the potential problem. In other words, they are expressing the belief that the problem "could" happen; but that they don't believe that it is a "sure thing" that the problem will occur with all of the affected Toyota models.

The list is as follows:

• 2009-2010 RAV4,
• 2009-2010 Corolla,
• 2009-2010 Matrix,
• 2005-2010 Avalon,
• 2007-2010 Camry,
• 2010 Highlander,
• 2007-2010 Tundra,
• 2008-2010 Sequoia

Et tu, Soloman? Nice use of the classic lingo. Too much fun this week -- wish I could remember how to say that in Latin.
