Back to the Campaign Trail: David Plouffe to Step Up Advisory Role

Another day, another campaign stop for Barack Hussein Obama, it appears.

The Washington Post is reporting that according to sources familiar with White House plans, former campaign manager David Plouffe will be stepping in to an outside advisory role for team Obama.

According to the Post article, "Allies of the White House cast the Plouffe move as less about the Massachusetts election and more about the fact that the election year is heating up and Plouffe has more free time following the publication of his campaign memoir late last year. Still, the timing is sure to stoke speculation that the White House is seeking to shore up its political operation."

Plouffe was the campaign manager of both the primary and general election for Obama, and has been associated with Obama since 2004. After the campaign ended he chose not to continue on to the White House, but instead went back to the "private sector" and has been working on a book called ""The Audacity to Win." The book was released on November 3, 2009.

Obama's first campaign stop will be on Capital Hill on Wednesday, as he delivers his first State of the Union address.

Variation on the old adage:

Those who can't do, teach
Those who can't teach, administrate
Those who can't administrate campaign a lot and pass the blame to anybody nearby

I think you're right. Obama's campaign starts at the State of the Union address. It sure is a coincidence that his campaign manager suddenly comes back to work.

It is definitely a coincidence that his campaign manager is returning now. I heard Obama's State of the Union address is going to be feisty. I personally don't think that the man has stopped campaigning. But, Its possible that Plouffe is going to help Obama kick it into high gear now. If Obama continues on the same path as last year, he's sure to piss even more people off.

Coincidence? You think? lol!!

I hadn't heard anything yet about his SOTU address yet... but I'm wondering who will deliver the reply. Have you heard anything there?

I vote for Joe Wilson...

I'll correct myself - I just Google'd it, and Gov. Bob McDonnell of Virgina will deliver the reply.

Damn.

I'm going to watch some funny videos or something. If I hear that $%#^&*@ name Obama one more time, I'm going to scream.

How's everyone's 401K today?
