Friday Night Videos: Rock This Town

Because I'm in a great mood, and these Cats can flat out rock!

The great Stray Cats song, Rock This Town, performed by the original threesome in 1983 in Los Angeles. Talk about a time warp - check out the hairdos!

Brian Setzer is truly one of the most underrated musicians in the modern era. The man has class and plays incredible guitar.

Enjoy!!

I still wear my hair that way. What are you trying to say?

Nickie - clearly what I'm trying to say is that those hairdos are all the rage, and today's styles could never compete with such amazing statements of fashion!

Plays a Gretsch. That's all you need to know.

cbullit - agreed... and I really appreciate his respect for 'old school' stylings like big band, rockabilly, and the blues.

You should become a DJ!

Solomon! THis is a great video. I have several Brian S. Orchestra CD's, they always cheer me up, as do the Cats! I agree with Dave! Rock on DJ.

Odie - I love those 80's styles, I had one when they were all the rage.

Tammy - I like this version much better than the radio cut though...

Snarky B - I did some DJ work in the bar scene when I was younger.

What's funny too is that if you Google 'Soloman' you'll find there is indeed a DJ here in Phoenix that is named Soloman... he's into the rave / techno scene. Not quite my style, but that's cool all the same.

Bunni - I love him with the Orchestra. I almost posted that version, from his Christmas show. It's great in its own right.

heh, that was fun. I used to love the Stray Cats (okay, I probably still do, just haven't thought about them in 20 years!). Thanks for the time warp. :D
