Four In A Row!

Congratulations to driver Jimmie Johnson, crew chief Chad Knaus, and the entire team #48 for winning their fourth consecutive championship. In eight years as a team, this organization has accomplished something no other team has ever managed over the 61-year history of NASCAR.

Additionally, there are now four NASCAR drivers who have won four or more championships in their careers, yet none has done so in the short time span that it was accomplished by Jimmie Johnson.

Can't wait till Daytona 2010!!!

That's an awesome feat!! Great Job Jimmie Johnson!

I wanted to let you know that I linked my Palin post to your post of Rush interviewing Palin.

Yeah- Jimmie.
I'm an Earnhardt fan, but was actually pulling for 'the old man', Mark Martin this season.

Anyway, Way to go #48 Jimmie Johnson!

I didn't watch at all, until yesterday. I'm like that with football too. But it was pretty exciting to see him win.

Teresa - thanks for the link, I saw it last night but was too tired to comment. Greatly appreciated..

sandy - sorry about your luck, seems Jr. doesn't really have his head in the game these days. I'd be happy to see him win, it would be good for him and good for the sport.

In the mean time.. I'm obviously a proud fan, have been since Jimmie's Busch days, and this history thing is awesome.

Thanks for coming by!

Tammy - to each his (or her) own.. glad you watched yesterday. Like I said before, it's the history thing that's really cool, we may never see such a feat again.

Well Sol, he did it again. Congrats to Jimmy Johnson and to you and all of his fans. We were there to see the action and the history being made. Very exciting.
I felt kind of sorry for Mark Martin during his interview, though. Poor guy is always the bridesmaid; never the bride.
And I was ticked that Stewart and Montoya were at each other. I really thought Stewart was doing
well and had a chance at winning...or at least placing better in the end. My hubby had to explain that it's a race car driver thing - don't take any crap. I thought it was a WIN thing. Oh well, at least he and Newman made the Chase.
Daytona will be here before we know it.

TCL - how awesome to have been there! Living on the left side of the country sucks for a NASCAR fan...

I loved watching Tony and JPM - they're a couple of hotheads and it was fun to watch. Jimmy Spencer on TWIN last night said he wishes there was a race next week so they could continue it, 'cause that's some of what NASCAR needs. I kind of agree.

And it's purely a guy thing and a racing thing, 'cause neither one was driving a winning car that night.

Drive for five for two drivers next year...
