so funny-
the cmt's the only award show i care to watch.
great performances last night-
i loved how they teamed the country musicians up with the pop/rock musicians.

B&G - pretty sweet, huh?

Taylor swift also won a big award - artist of the year, I think? And she joked about how grateful she was to this crowd for not running up on stage and interrupting her.

funny stuff.

Pedaling -

funny thing is I really don't do country music, but I respect the heck out of their values.

My music is blues and rock. Blues.. hard working troubled souls who just want to entertain and get by.

Rock.. it's a generational thing... I totally can't stand a lot of the value systems of rockers, but the music is what I go there for.

I didn't see the show.. I don't watch any awards shows really. I just caught this clip and a couple others on Fox tonight and thought it would be fun to post this one.

If it replays on CMT I'll try to record it. I've always liked their show "Crossroads," which does as you described - country stars with stars from other genres.

I loved this, and the whole show. I loved when Taylor said that about the audience staying in their seats.

I like to think that the country music stars are more on our side, you know with their songs that portray love of guns and trucks and country and women and beer. At least that's what I hope.

Tammy.. country music is definitely a large part of the fabric of America.

I love the blues, and that style of music is all-American too...

But today - modern times - as much as I love the style of rock music, I identify with the attitudes of country much more closely. In that respect I wholeheartedly agree with you.
