We Have Watched And Now We Gather

I would like to take a moment to thank all of you who check in with me from time to time and read my blog.

I know you have many choices in life, and many ways you could spend your time. The fact that you choose to spend some of your time sharing a moment with me is something for which I can not thank you enough. Thank you for the thoughts you share and the compliments you give.

I am extremely grateful to those of you who have given me accolades on your own blog; it is a very wonderful feeling to receive such an honor. I know it brings you happiness too, for the idea of helping others is something we certainly all share here, in this community of good ideas and great people.

I would like to share the good work and insights of someone who has stopped by my blog from time to time, and has a very thoughtful and inspiring blog of her own. Actually, to be fair, I really wish to recommend that you start your visit by reading this letter by Jan's niece, written to Congress, and titled "We Have Watched And Now We Gather." This letter captures the spirit of the people I have come to know and appreciate through my blogging experience, and I think you will find it truly inspiring.

So give a hoot, and go say hi to Jan, and enjoy.

Jan's awesome, and apparently it's rubbed off onto her family members. It's a fantastic letter.

Thanks Soloman. I am blushing...

I do enjoy your wisdom. I have been busy working with some folks in the DC area. It is so fun. I hope to beable to share it someday. Between family and life and freedom fighting, it is pretty hectic but rewarding.

It is people like you that take the time to understand and not idly stand by, that I admire so much. Thanks for all you do.

My niec,e I feel, was completely inspired. It came after attending a Making of America seminar. She was educated and came away will a burning to share. I attended on this last Summer, and it was fantastic.

Our family is very involved and I treasure them and they give me such hope for the future.

Take care and keep it up... :) I will let you know if she gets a response though. When I put this out on twitter and also Smart girls, it really went viral. So many emails saying we should have a bumper sticker - We Have Watched and Now We Gather. There are such great people out there.

Thanks for introducing us to Jan :)

Jan, the bumpersticker idea is a great idea! I hope someone does it and lets us all know where it would be available.

Opie - I'm sure you will enjoy reading Jan's page.

Jan - my younger brother owns his own business - http://www.wavewerks.com/default.aspx - and he does stickers in bulk. I'd be happy to ask him if he's got a connection, if you're interested.

There are also, of course, companies that specialize in them on the web...

Either way, I think it's a neat idea - and I'm hoping to add a little bit to the sharing of a great letter!

No problem, S-man... Comments over my way of puking in your mouth at my stuff go a long way with me. :)

Pedaling - glad you liked her post! I had visited Jan's blog in the past, but for whatever reason hadn't lately.

Thanks again to Mikki for bringing this post to my attention - and I'm glad to have shared it!

Dr. Dave - you keep me puking in my mouth a little bit and I'll be a faithful reader.

You remind me that no matter how outlandish I think I may be, there are others willing to take things just a little closer to the edge.

God Bless ya, man...

Thanks for posting this wonderful letter, Sol. I hope it reaches Ms. Pelosi. The question is...will she read it and will she care?

TCL - she'd probably consider it angry rhetoric and cry about it, then call the Jan's niece a racist swastika wearing Nazi astroturfer.
