"Urine" or You're Out

Like most folks in this country, I have a job.

I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit.

In order to get that paycheck in my case, I am required to pass a random urine test (with which I have no problem).

What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test.

So, here is my Question: Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check, since I have to pass one to earn it for them?

Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their ass - doing drugs, while I work...

Can you imagine how much money each state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check?

I guess we could title that program, 'Urine or You're Out'.

(Thanks, Mom for the email!)

This is an awesome idea, I will vote for you, heck, I'll send you money if you run for office. This simply makes too much sense!

this is true outside the box thinking! someone would undoubtedly claim it was racist. you are a dangerous man and now definitely on a government watch list.

LCR - I'm not so sure I want to run for office... plus, my Mom sent this to me in an email, that somebody else sent to her. But hey.. what a great idea I had, huh?? lol...

All that aside, wouldn't this change the face of so much of our nation?? I'd damned sure like to see this taken to the floor of Congress, as opposed to their worrying about who is using steroids in baseball, or if we have pig celebration day in Iowa or whatever other crap they mess around on when we have serious business at hand.

My hubs has often said the exact same thing.

j summ - I'm coining a new phrase - "Inside the cup thinking" - and I'm not racist.. I'm "druggist!"

seriously, though.. if I just made a government watch list under this government, they're not doing a very good job.

Tammy - therefore he must be a very smart man. Plus he married you... so there's no question!

Being a former addict, and having "hung out" with some "interesting characters", I can tell you it's embarrassing for our country how many people use the system.

Pathetic, embarrassing, ridiculous.. I can't come up with enough words.

It is pathetic. I actually have one friend whose lazy ass husband is abusing the system, and another friend who totally needs and deserves the benefits. It's frustrating to say the least.

makes so much sense that it is obvious why it is not done. Far too logical. But it would alienate a large segment of the democratic voter base. It would be racist... assuming that just because someone without disabilities was habitually unemployed for 10 years might be doing drugs... hater..flat earther..

keep up the good work.

Hey KOOK -

You're correct. I'm a former (somewhat hardcore) liberal and a recovered addict, and I can tell you that the two often times can go hand in hand.

Of course, I'm a racist birther hater teabagger flat earther for even suggesting that there's a relationship between dependence on substance and the use of government as a crutch... oh, yeah.. hater too..

Thanks for dropping in and for the follow...

I love this idea! I can't tell you how many times I've seen people who get "food" stamps trying to buy cigarettes and other junk with them. If I have an obligation to pay for your food stamps, then you have an obligation to be deserving of my money and spendig it wisely.
