Glenn Beck Interviewed By Katie Cupcake

Yes, I know it's sexist and dismissive of me to call her that, so feel free to yell at me. I'm still going to call her Katie Cupcake, because I believe it fits her.

Anyway - here's Glenn's online interview with Ms. Couric, for those who didn't get a chance to see it (like me) or those who didn't even know about it.

**UPDATE**

I watched this interview in full. It was fair, generally speaking. You can read very clearly into the ideological differences between the two, and to be honest I believe you get a sense at the end of the interview that Couric has a new-found respect for Beck.

Beck did not allow Couric to play 'gotcha' as she attempted. He offered his website as a place to gather information. If you didn't hear his radio show the day after the "Obama's a racist" comment, go here to listen, just click on the 'free audio' button and it will open in media player. It's about 16 minutes and very informative.

Also, here's a very interesting video clip from around the same time frame.

I hope you are right about Katie's newfound respect for Glen. She was in need of some serious education.

thanks. i hadn't seen the interview (didn't even know about it)

don't really care for katie, but i actually think she did a decent interview. she controlled herself and of course glenn was on his game.
the man is gooood!

I had no idea this even took place and now I am late for bed. Totally worth it though. I think Glenn disarmed her in the beginning by being so soft spoken and thoughtful, and she reigned in some of her cynicism. Good interview! Thanks for posting it!

Opus - that's just my opinion, of course.. judge for yourself. She actually kinda seemed less 'snarky' after it was over.

Pedaling - glad I could bring it. I agree - after the snark of the Palin interview I had lost interest in her, but I think either she learned, or Beck held her in check.

Janie Lynn - sorry you're late to bed, but glad it was worth it.

I agree - it was worth the time invested, and the two of them did well together.

Couric less snarky?? Wow... didn't think it was possible. Haven't had a chance to view it yet, but this will be worth watching.

Thanks for posting - didn't even know about the interview

I hadn't heard about this interview either, so thanks. Glenn did well, and I think you're right, I think she saw some sense in what he was saying and hopefully many will see him in a new light now.

Hazaa - Less snarky is of course my opinion. There were moments she tried to get a 'dig' in, a 'gotcha moment' if you will.

All in all, though - she treated him decently, I think.

She had to, she knew she'd get raked by his fans if she was disrespectful.

Tammy - certainly happy to bring this one to you - I know you're a Beck supporter.

And while I know the rabid lefties will still be haters, maybe some on the fence will - as you say - see him in a new light.. ?
