Dingy Harry Reid Is At It Again

Mr. "This war is lost" has done it again.

This time he has declared that those who oppose health care reform are akin to those who opposed Women's Suffrage and the abolition of slavery, as seen in this clip:

Notice Dingy Harry discusses "There were those" and "Some Senators" when talking about Women's Suffrage and the abolition of slavery. What he does not want Americans to recall is that it was a conservative Lincoln of the Republican party who led the nation to end slavery, and the 66th Congress in 1920 was controlled by Republicans when Women's Suffrage was passed.

From The Hill Blog Briefing Room:

Three Republican senators on Monday condemned Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's (D-Nev.) comments that Republicans who oppose healthcare reform are akin to the opponents of abolition and women's suffrage.

"Folks tend to crack under pressure," said Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.) at a press conference. "It is an indication of desperation."

Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) said he was "personally offended" by the remarks that were "beneath the dignity of the Majority Leader...and the Senate."

Senate Republican Policy Committee chairman John Thune (S.D.) called the comments "inflammatory and irresponsible."

Left Coast Rebel also expresses some opinions on the subject, including a link to The Other McCain that discusses how the raaaaacist (always five A's) card is always the first and last refuge of left-wing scoundrels, as well as some information about the anti-Reid sentiment growing in Nevada. The Conservative Lady also has a post on the subject, including an excellent video discussing the history of raaaaacism in America.

Thanks for linking to my post. I had that video on my YouTube Channel and, although it was more about black conservatives, the part about the Dems and racism really fit old Harry's stupid comments. A real history lesson.
Great job on your post BTW.
Glad you're feeling better.
I found out what was wrong with my comments link. I had to do a little digging, but it was a simple fix. The "do not allow" comments box was checked in both of those posts. I did not do it and can't figure out how it happened, but it's fixed now. Thanks for the heads up...I was in the process of figuring it out when I got your note.
Take care.

Glad to link you, and glad to offer the heads-up. I know you'd do the same...

Funny how blogger just does stuff without our knowing, is super difficult to edit into a decent looking post if you want to use multiple pictures, and generally (at least on my PC) crashes Firefox at least once almost every night.. yet we all keep on using blogger.

Guess since it's free and we're not making a paycheck from this venture.. lol...

Nah, Harry. We just oppose moonbattery. Now go on back to your hole in Nevada. We don't need you around, mucking things up.

desperate comment by reid.
betting on the ignorance and short term memory of his audence has worked for him before, guess he forgot who his audience was this time....
what a fool!
as i look at the best of the best the left has to offer, i am amazed!
reid? pelosi? they are ridiculous.
i'm embarrassed for their party!
can't stand the guy and am looking forward to seeing his butt kicked in the next election.

I'll keep it short ... Harry Reid is a horses ass !

Odie, usually I'd agree with you, but this time I DO NOT. Harry Reid isn't the ass, he's the product that exudes from the ass - and not the horse, the bull.

He's an enemy to the American people, plain and simple, and the sooner he can find retirement in the Nevada desert, the better.

I don't think these comments are going to go over well with mainstreet America. A majority of Americans are opposed to the Dems' health care plan, and a whole bunch more have reservations.

Keep digging your own grave, Harry.

Yeah, when the chips are down, you can really see what folks are made of. This guy is a real piece o' work.

Thanks for the linkage! I totally agree on the blogger-bugs to Soloman, I have some tricks to get around said problems though if you are interested, just email me.
