The Truth as Spoken by Bill Clinton

An honest moment about the future of America between two men.

Bill Clinton is generally trusted and respected by the left, and was an honest enough President to work with the Republican Congress to reform Welfare and balance the budget.

Paul Ryan is trusted and respected by the right, but despised by the left for his fiscal responsibility and willingness to tell the truth.

Only one of these men is treated with decency by the "mainstream media," which suits the narrative of the left. That narrative is being discussed here:

We all know the Democrat Party is going to use scare tactics to try to win every election they can in 2012, including the Presidential election.

Most of us have already seen the ridiculous commercial showing a man who appears to be Paul Ryan pushing "Grannie" off the cliff. The discussion between Clinton and Ryan is absolute proof that some Democrats know better than to believe that commercial represents the intentions of Paul Ryan's budget plan.

The Republicans attempted to begin the discussion that must be had, about the entitlement program that must be reformed. The Democrats, unfortunately, have the media in their back pocket; they will do all they can to use that media to their advantage as they continue to spend America into oblivion.

Please share this with everyone you know who isn't blinded by partisanship. If a person cares at all about America, this will tell them all they need to know about the Medicare debate.

There are some - both Republicans and Democrats - who would play with the future of their nation to their own benefit without considering the cost to 330 million people as well as the impact on the world at large.

These curs need to be exposed for who they are.

I'm gratified to see that President Clinton understands the stakes.

Sadly, it is not just progressives that don't see what is necessary. Talk to people on the right, they are not willing to give up their benies either. Bachmann got raked over the coals because she talked about military benefits as well. Nothing can be off the table. Nothing.

The country is not ready to do what needs to be done. We won't until we end up like Greece.

Simply the country is not ready to do what needs to be done because there are more takers than givers.

Clinton while far from my favorite, did a much better job than BO.

My jaw dropped when I heard Clinton's remarks. While far from my favorite person, one must admit that he is perhaps the most politically savvy politician this country has seen with the possible exception of Reagan. All three of the comments above are spot on. It's going to take a Great(er) Depression that affects everyone before enough people wake up and do what is necessary to restore our nation, whatever that may be.

It is a sad situation we have put ourselves in. People have become so dependent on our government for certain benefits that they can't see what is right for our country, and are unwilling to do what is right for both present & future generations. At least Clinton realizes the sad state of affairs Medicare and our country is in.
