Roger Ailes and Arianna Huffington Discuss Glenn Beck

It seems that Arianna Huffington has not changed her opinion on Glenn Beck's First Amendment right to free speech.

Ms. Huffington, in classic Progressive fashion, characterized Beck as "Inciting the American People" during a discussion on ABC's Sunday Morning show "This Week."

Huffington, who doesn't herself make vile comments but instead allows her blog's commenters to do so on her behalf, has in the past claimed that Beck is "Morally liable" for his words if "Violence ensues from what he says."

Taking into account only her political perspective and not the role of individual responsibility in the discussion, Huffington went on to say "When he talks about people being slaughtered, about who is going to be next in the killing spree..."

Roger Ailes at that point had heard enough, and put Ms. Huffington in her place. "Well, he was talking about Hitler and Stalin slaughtering people, so I think he was probably accurate," Ailes said with a remarkably straight face.

The information Ms. Huffington conveniently fails to present in this discussion is that each and every show (both TV and radio), Glenn Beck offers more than one "disclaimer" regarding the context of his show, and frequently states the fact that he absolutely is not calling for violence. In fact, he makes very specific points to differentiate between atrocities of the past and today's administration.

Huffington tried to claim "He was talking about this administration," to which Mr. Ailes calmly replied, "I think he speaks English. I don't know... but I don't mis-interpret any of his words. He did say one unfortunate thing which he apologized for (referencing Beck's calling Obama a racist) but that happens on live television, so... I think if we start going around as the word police..."

Ms. Huffington then went on to attempt portray Beck in the frame of a "paranoid style" and discuss the fact that there is "real pain out there," to which Ailes replied that he had read something on Huffington Post about how he "looked like J. Edgar Hoover, had a face like a fist, and was essentially a malignant tumor."

A final thought... as is unfortunately typical of those on the left, Ms. Huffington fails to include in her thought process the element of personal responsibility. Glenn Beck in no way, shape, or form is inciting people to take up arms and create violence or chaos, yet consistently we hear charges from the left of "incitement to violence" with regards to Beck's desire to educate his audience about the true history of the "Progressive" movement in America and around the world. Should a tragic event take place in America and the perpetrator should happen to own a copy of Beck's "Common Sense," that person has already been found guilty in the court of the mainstream media, even though no such event has yet taken place.

Brilliant Obama rates an 8th Grade Score for SOTU Address

Smart Politics is reporting that Barack Hussein Obama, our most brilliant and intelligent President ever, rates an 8th grade score for his State of the Union address Wednesday night.

George W. Bush would receive a 10th grade score based on the same grading scale.

Barack Obama's ability as a public speaker since his 2008 presidential campaign has been alternately viewed, often depending on whether or not one is an Obama supporter, along various dyads: being inspirational versus being aloof, intellectualizing versus lecturing etc.

Along those lines, in her first month as a commentator for FOX News, Sarah Palin criticized Obama's first State of the Union Address on Wednesday night as "lecturing" the American public.

Unlike the criticisms hurled at his predecessor, however, few have ever charged that the current President, a former senior lecturer in Constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School, has written or spoken too simplistically or catered his words to the lowest common denominator.

However, a Smart Politics analysis of nearly 70 oral State of the Union Addresses since the mid-1930s finds the text of Obama's speech on Wednesday evening to have one of the lowest scores on the Flesch-Kincaid readability test ever recorded by a U.S. President.

The Flesch-Kincaid test is designed to assess the readability level of written text, with a formula that translates the score to a U.S. grade level. Longer sentences and sentences utilizing words with more syllables produce higher scores. Shorter sentences and sentences incorporating more monosyllabic words yield lower scores.

Smart Politics ran the Flesch-Kincaid test on each of the last 68 State of the Union Addresses that were delivered orally by presidents before a Joint Session of Congress since Franklin Roosevelt. Excluded from analysis were five written addresses (Truman in 1946 and 1953, Eisenhower in 1961, Nixon in 1973, and Carter in 1981) and two addresses that were delivered orally, but not by the President himself (Roosevelt in 1945, Eisenhower in 1956). Prior to FDR, most, but not all, such Addresses were delivered in writing.

Obama's Flesch-Kincaid grade level score of 8.8 for his first State of the Union Address was the fourth lowest score since FDR's first Address in 1934.

Rush Limbaugh's Letter to Obama: The Left Responds

By now you may have read or heard about a letter Rush Limbaugh wrote to Barack Hussein Obama.

Well, it seems in classic leftist "Nah Nah Nah Nah Poo Poo" fashion, the left is attempting to belittle Rush, by throwing names and making references to Archie Bunker.

At Huffington Post, one of the favorite websites for the five percent of Americans who consider themselves Progressives, the very creator of All In The Family, Mr. Norman Lear, has offered a reply that is a perfect snapshot of the difference between the political left and political right in America today.

While Rush offered facts about specific missteps taken during Obama's first year, Mr. Lear, albeit a writer of comedy television, offers not much more than a drama queen's hissy fit in response.

From Huffington Post:

Yesterday, driving to work I listened to Rush Limbaugh read a letter he'd written to President Obama. I listen to Limbaugh because he reminds me of the carnival barkers of my youth, men who were selling elixirs, snake oil, or inviting you for an extra 50 cents to check out the half man/half woman in the secreted tent. They were quaint and harmless compared to the barking Limbaugh who yesterday would have us believe -- he actually said this! -- the President was seeking to destroy the country so that he might then save it.

The rest of the day, last night, and this morning I couldn't stop thinking about the ugly, vindictive, dispiriting and reprehensible things barker Limbaugh had to say about our President. I ached to answer him but couldn't find the words. And then I remembered a scene in an episode of All In The Family when Maude, who later starred in her own series, came to visit Archie. Archie was sitting in his chair. Maude was standing beside him and they were fighting about the legacy of Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Finally, Archie who was rewriting history in this argument said something so misguided and distasteful that Maude could not find the words to respond with. All but choking with frustration, her entire body seemingly ready to burst, all she could say was: "You're Fat!"

After a lifetime of trying to reach the El Rushbos of my life, all I can say is: "You're FAT!"

As usual, the Conservative mind is able to offer facts and ideas; the leftist only presents name calling and ad hominem attacks.

Thank you, Mr. Lear. In writing this one letter, you have made a case for me that I couldn't make better myself.

Friday Night Videos: pResident Obama

This one speaks for himself... er.. itself.

RAAAAACIST Keith Olberman Explains Racism

H/T The Other McCain:

Keith Olbermann completely looked over Chris Matthews blatant racist remarks Wednesday night during MSNBC'S post-State of Obama address coverage and called out... you guessed it... Conservatives.

“Here’s a little secret, gathered, sadly, from witnessing it my whole life, even from some in my own family,” Olbermann said. “When racist white guys get together and they don’t want to be caught using any of the popular epithets in use every day in this country about black people – and there’s a chance one of them, or worse still a white guy who doesn’t get it, might wander in and hear the conversation, when there’s a risk even in saying “uppity” or “forgetting his place,” the racist white guys revert to euphemisms and code words.”

As Robert Stacy McCain points out, Olbermann does this hysterical denunciation trip night after night. A Supreme Court decision on campaign-finance laws? It’s Dred Scott! You wonder if he carries this tendency over into his private life.

Waiter, I specifically ordered a merlot, and you’ve brought me burgundy instead. This is worse than McCarthyism. It’s worse than the Spanish Inquisition or the Jonestown Massacre. It’s . . . it’s Kristallnacht!

Cardinals Quarterback Kurt Warner Announces Retirement

Arizona Cardinals quarterback and former two-time league MVP Kurt Warner today announced his retirement from the NFL.

In addition to his two MVP awards (199 and 2001), Warner appeared in three Super Bowls (XXXIV, XXXVI, XLIII), four Pro Bowls, won a Super Bowl MVP award in Super Bowl XXXIV with the St. Louis Rams, and had the three highest individual passing totals in Super Bowl history.

Warner also is only the second quarterback in league history to lead two separate teams to the Superbowl, as he appeared with The Rams in XXXIV and XXXVI, and with the Cardinals in XLIII. That feat had not been accomplished since Craig Morton did it with The Dallas Cowboys in Super Bowl V and then The Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XII. Interestingly, both men played for The New York Giants between Super Bowl Visits.

Warner played twelve years in the NFL. His story is legendary amongst football fans. In his words, ""I was an average, ordinary guy working in a grocery store, trying to make ends meet playing Arena Football, and then God entered into the equation, and he's done something pretty extraordinary over the last 12 years." That Arena Football playing, grocery bagging ordinary guy didn't see his first NFL action until 1998, when he was 27.

The following year, he took over when Rams' starter Trent Green was hurt, led St. Louis to the Super Bowl title and was named the league's MVP. He led the Rams to two Super Bowl appearances in three years, then struggled through injuries and demotions for the next five seasons, including his first years in Arizona, before proving himself again over the past three years.

As a player, Warner's legacy will be helping to turn around two losing franchises. As a person, he hopes people remember his perseverance.

"I wanted people to remember that anything is possible," Warner said. "I know there are a lot of people who gravitate to that part of it, that understand the struggle, understand that it takes a little bit longer to try to achieve your goals and that there are moments when you want to give up and you question if you should continue to follow your dreams."

Warner expects to be plenty busy during his retirement, starting with being a full-time father to his seven children.

"I'm going to watch them play football on Saturday morning and watch them grow up and enjoy their life and all the things I've missed over the last 12 years," he said.

A devout Christian, Warner also expect to be involved in Ministry work. Warner said he will "spend time preaching, spend time speaking, and hopefully being able to motivate people with my life story like hopefully I have and the way I played the game."

He also plans to do some writing, and says there could be plans for penning an autobiography in the coming months.

Warner will also stay busy with his charity with his wife Brenda, the First Things First Foundation.

He does not rule out the possibility of returning to football in some other form, perhaps as a broadcaster. "I think I have a lot to offer, but a lot of that's going to be determined by the time constraints and what it means to me in the short term. Because these days, the people up here (his family) are my priority and I want to make them my priority."

Personal Note:

Thank you, Kurt Warner. You have revitalized a dying franchise in Arizona and made football exciting in a city that desperately wanted to support their team. You are a great person and an incredible player, and we in Arizona will miss you. Good luck in all of your future endeavors, and God Bless.

The Thrill is gone for "Obama Girl"

Remember the "Obama Girl?"

It seems Amber Lee Ettinger, whose YouTube sensations "Crush on Obama" and "Super Obama Girl" have combined for over 35 million hits, has lost that loving feeling.

Ettinger -- the buxom sensation who lip-synched about her love for then-candidate Barack Obama -- said she wishes he spent his first year in office more focused on fixing the abysmal economy.
"I know he's getting a lot of flak for things that he's not doing. In my opinion, I feel like he should be focusing a lot more on jobs and the economy."

Ettinger, 28, said that even though she doesn't have health care -- "I can't afford it" -- she still thinks Obama should have waited to tackle the thorny legislation that has been blamed for the Democratic party's loss of Massachusetts Senate seat formerly held by the late Ted Kennedy.

"It's definitely a distraction because of the economy being as bad as it is," said the Jersey City resident.

"He did create some jobs, but most of them were government jobs and that doesn't really help the middle class. But it helps a bit," said Ettinger.

Her grade for Obama: B- minus.

Ettinger also appeared on Hannity tonight (video below). It was a very telling interview about the state of Obama's popularity, then and now. Hannity even got her to admit that she would consider voting for a Republican candidate - she picked Huckabee out a line-up of four.

She also offered a classic line during the Hannity interview, as she said "Well, at least I wasn't the Edwards girl."

Janet Napolitano Caught Sleeping... Again

Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano apparently didn't get enough sleep during her destructive years as governor of Arizona.

Last night during President Barack Hussein Obama's seventy minute State of Denial Address, Ms. Napolitano displayed one of her greatest strengths: not paying attention.

As Rachel Alexander at The American Spectator thoroughly articulated a little more than one year ago, Napolitano has a difficult time keeping up with what is happening right in front of her.

Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano has done little to protect the state from illegal immigration, and under her leadership Arizona is now tied for last place in the nation for emergency disaster preparedness.

So why has incoming president Barack Obama picked Napolitano for secretary of homeland security? It clearly has nothing to do with her record. She is leaving Arizona with the highest budget deficit ever, and the highest budget deficit per capita in the nation after California, at more than $2 billion.

Obama probably selected Napolitano because she is one of a small handful of Democrats who fit the necessary stereotype of "tough," and she satisfies a female diversity quota. Napolitano looks and sounds tough, but her policies suggest otherwise. Democrats find this kind of person appropriate for a law enforcement leadership position, much the way Janet Reno was tapped by former president Bill Clinton to fill the attorney general position. In fact, many initially thought Napolitano would be selected by Obama for that same office.

What is Napolitano’s actual experience and legacy in Arizona? Napolitano was elected governor in 2002 due to an unprecedented relentless campaign on her behalf by the local liberal newspapers. She disingenuously ran as a conservative, the only way to get elected to statewide office in Arizona, emphasizing her former law enforcement role as the state's attorney general.

Napolitano's most visible legacy is turning Arizona into the biggest police state in the nation with "Janet Cams," authorizing more speed cameras than any other state. State Treasurer Dean Martin has argued that they are unconstitutional, because the legislature did not approve them as an additional taxing source. The Arizona Department of Public Safety has admitted their purpose is not public safety, but revenue generation. Ballot initiatives are already circulating to repeal the cameras, since the last thing the state needs right now is another license to spend more money. Fines from the speeding tickets go to fund Clean Elections, a failed government experiment that funds the campaigns of candidates running for state offices.

In terms of her administrative abilities, Napolitano was the first governor in Arizona to use debt to balance general fund budgets -- finding a way around the state constitution’s prohibition against the state accumulating more than $350,000 in debt. Business Week recently ranked Arizona's budget problems the worst in the country.

Although Arizona has the highest rate of illegal immigration in the country, and the highest number of illegal immigrants proportionate to the general population of any state, Napolitano vetoed seven bills as governor that would have cracked down on illegal immigration. She supported drivers' licenses for illegal immigrants, and took away funding from Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio that he was using to enforce illegal immigration laws. She opposes a border fence, laughingly dismissing it, "you show me a 50 foot fence, I'll show you a 51 foot ladder."

Napolitano has made only two symbolic efforts to combat illegal immigration, repeatedly touted by her proponents as evidence she is tough on illegal immigration. The first was sending the National Guard to the border, which she was forced into doing after first vetoing a bill ordering her to. She initially tried to get out of it by claiming it was the federal government's responsibility to fund the National Guard at the border. Ultimately she sabotaged the effort by limiting the role of the National Guard to administrative functions, not illegal immigration law enforcement.

Napolitano's second symbolic measure against illegal immigration involved Arizona's employer sanctions law. When it was first passed by the legislature in 2006, Napolitano vetoed it, claiming it wasn't tough enough. At the time, everyone knew it was unlikely because she had vetoed every other law against illegal immigration. So the legislature called her bluff. The next year, it passed a tougher version of the bill, and anti-illegal immigration activists circulated an even tougher ballot measure in case she vetoed it. Considering Arizona voters passed four anti-illegal immigration measures with over 70% approval in 2006, Napolitano was trapped and forced to sign it, giving Arizona the toughest employer sanctions law in the nation.

Napolitano's accomplishments prior to becoming governor of Arizona were unimpressive. She was tapped by former President Bill Clinton for U.S. attorney after she came to public prominence representing Anita Hill against Clarence Thomas at his judicial confirmation hearings. In his book, The Real Anita Hill, David Brock documented how Napolitano put a witness on the stand who wasn't corroborating Hill's version of the facts, so Napolitano took her off the stand and had her return and claim amnesia. After leaving the U.S. attorney's office, Napolitano became state attorney general, where her only memorable accomplishment was banning Christmas decorations from the public areas of the office, which received national attention and protest.

In her six years as Arizona's governor, Napolitano has proactively failed to protect Arizona's borders from the highest rate of illegal immigration in the country. Based on this record, it is unlikely she will do much better protecting America's homeland from terrorists. Arizonans are delighted to see her go so we can fix our budget and illegal immigration problem, but at what cost to the nation as a whole?

We in Arizona are sorry, America.

Chris Matthews Forgets Obama is Black

My doctor is so polite and well educated. He never misses a diagnosis. Last time I went to see him my appointment took a long time. As he was doing his work we got to talking, and as we had our discussion I forgot he was Black for about an hour.

The mechanic who worked on my car last time it was in the shop, his name is Larry. He's lived a tough life, but he's making the best of it. I'm so impressed by his determination to succeed that while I was talking to him the other day, I forgot he was Black for about an hour.

The people that owns the sub shoppe I love, they're such a nice family. They have a great little restaurant, they're very polite, their children are well behaved, and they always remember my name and my favorite sandwich. Last time I was there, they asked me to join them for dinner. I enjoyed myself so much while I was dining with them, I forgot they were Black for about an hour.

I'm speaking hypothetically, as you may by now understand.

Since we know the mainstream media will not discuss this honestly (if at all) and I know it's likely you don't watch MSNBC, please allow me to offer an explanation as to why I'm making such racist statements.

In case you haven't heard about it by now on talk radio or Fox News, Chris Matthews said the following last night during MSNBC's post-speech discussion:

"I was trying to think of who he was tonight... and, uh.. It's interesting, he is post racial, by all appearances.. you know, I forgot he was Black tonight for an hour.. you know, he's gone a long way to become a leader of this country, and past so much history in just a year or two. I mean it's something we don't even think about. I was watching, I said "Wait a minute, he's an African-American guy, in front of a bunch of other White people, and there he is, President of The United States, and we've completely forgotten that tonight."

Here's the clip:

Matthews tried to clarify his statement later in a discussion with Rachel Maddow:

There is no way to take this statement other than as purely racist.

Had Rush Limbaugh or a Fox News Channel host said such a thing, Matthews, Olbermann, and Maddow, in addition to many others would have had a field day. Huffington Post would have had six articles regarding said person, and Van Jones' organization "Color of Change" would have called for his immediate firing.

The beautiful thing is that Chris Matthews has proven to all of America exactly who he is, and it ain't pretty.

The left will attempt to justify this statement, by claiming that he's "the type of person who wants so badly to overcome racial differences, and that's the way he expressed himself off the cuff." This is in a roundabout way what Matthews said, in his "explanation," and also how leftists will try to defend him. I know the latter to be true because driving home from work today I heard a caller on Sean Hannity's show say almost exactly that in an effort to defend Matthews.

There is no defense for what Chris Matthews said last night.

However, I also believe that there is no reason to be upset with Matthews. I actually am grateful that Chris Matthews has a platform. With statements like this he exemplifies exactly what the double standard is in political correctness and the use of the "race card" by the leftists in America today.

I forgot about the color of Barack Obama's skin after.. oh, I don't know... I'd say the Iowa Caucus, perhaps. Honestly, it was a thought in passing at a monumental moment in our history as he gave his acceptance speech on November 4, 2008 and again as he was inaugurated on January 20, 2009.

The only other time the color of The President's skin becomes an issue in my mind is when the left makes an issue of it. Any time Keith Olbermann accuses fellow Conservatives of being "Teabaggers" and resisting "change" because a "Black man" is President, I remember his skin color.

Janine Garofalo reminded me he is Black, for the same reason.

Joy Behar... same thing. The beat goes on.

Occasionally when President Obama speaks to certain crowds, I almost can't help but be reminded, because he chances his cadence and develops a bit of an accent - almost southern, like a Baptist minister. Of course, Hillary and Bill Clinton have the ability to suddenly be afflicted with Southern Baptist accents, and I know they are not Black. However, that's not the issue.

The bottom line is this: I see Barack Hussein Obama as the President of my homeland, The United States of America. I do not see him as our "Black President" or as our "post-racial President," I simply see him as President.

I may sometimes offer commentary here that comes across as snide or sarcastic, but I honestly hope that he is able to guide our nation in the proper direction. I don't give a damn what color his skin is. All I care about is that he does the right thing for our nation, represents us well overseas, and stays safe, because he is our President, and he is fellow man.

Keep it up, Chris. You're an amazing source of education for America.

Justice Alito Has a "You Lie" Moment

During tonight's State of the Union address, Justice Samuel Alito was caught on camera mouthing some interesting words to President Barack Hussein Obama.

The President had just made a statement about the recent Supreme Court ruling regarding campaign finance.

"And it's time to put strict limits on the contributions that lobbyists give to candidates for federal office," Obama said. "Last week, the Supreme Court reversed a century of law to open the floodgates for special interests - including foreign corporations - to spend without limit in our elections."

Toward the end of that statement, Justice Alito was seen shaking his head, and rather clearly worded "Not true." Here's the video clip:

Meanwhile, Senator Chuck Schumer, an admitted Progressive and staunch supporter of Obama who has voice strong dissent against the Court's ruling in affirmation of the First Amendment, jumped up quickly and cheered rather aggressively.

This moment is one of the most destructive of all moments America has experienced since Barack Hussein Obama was sworn in as Chief Executive last year.

Obama is exactly that; Chief Executive. Our government is comprised of three branches; the Executive (President), the Legislative (Congress) and the Judiciary (Supreme Court).

These three branches of government were created so that each would have it's own role, and that the separation of power between the three should not be absolute, but should make allowances for a built-in system of checks and balances.

This wonder of American government was on full display last week, as the Judiciary overturned law, including portions of the The McCain-Feingold Act, based on the fact that the law was in direct violation of The First Amendment right to free speech.

When Obama made the aforementioned statements, he essentially was playing political bully with the Supreme Court. His words were nothing short of an indictment of the American governmental process as designed by our Founders.

This lack of respect of our system is not unusual for Obama, who has previously made statements about the Constitution, stating that it is a "charter of negative liberties," and saying that it reflects the "fundamental flaw" of this country that continues to this day.

This man clearly does not understand that The Constitution is the law of the land, and that the very reason the Supreme Court acted as it did was due to the need for checks and balances within the system. Law had been written that violated The First Amendment, and it is the responsibility of the Supreme Court to preserve all rights as defined by The Constitution. The Court acted exactly as it should, and Obama was reckless in his statement this evening.

By making the statement that he made tonight, Obama essentially stated that he wishes to disregard the Judiciary ruling, bypass or act on behalf of the Legislative, and therefore bring all American governmental power to the Executive branch.

This is a very dangerous statement, one which I believe Obama must be held accountable. I hope that anyone with any contacts to major press organizations escalates this issue to the point that the President must answer questions about the exact meaning of his words.

For more insight into this event, check out Left Coast Rebel, who has opined as well as compiled statements and links from other concerned Americans.

State of the Union: A Personal Perspective

I work for a small business in Phoenix. We currently have sixteen employees: the owner, his wife, and fourteen others including me.

Coincidentally, President Barack Hussein Obama used a case like my workplace as an example of how we as a nation can gauge the economic stability and job growth created by the "American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009."

The President claimed that a small business in Phoenix will "triple its workforce" since the passing of the "stimulus" bill.

He may not have been speaking of my workplace, but to borrow his words - "Let me be clear."

We have not tripled our workforce since the stimulus bill was passed. In fact, we have since laid off five people due to the decline in revenue.

Our last month of good business before the economy collapsed was February 2009. In March, our revenues went into the tank. This timeline happens to coincide with the passing of that very bill he claims is propping up small businesses and "creating and saving" jobs. President Obama signed that $787 billion monstrosity into law on February 17, 2009.

Half or more of us are currently working four day work weeks, with the possibility of a fifth day based only on business demand. We have not worked five day work weeks consistently since the first week of March 2009.

To be fair, I do not blame all of this on the current administration, nor do I consider it fair to assign blame completely on the Bush administration. Our economy has suffered due to over thirty years of bad economic policy, beginning with the irresponsible policy enacted during the Carter administration known as the Community Reinvestment Act, which was the beginning of what ultimately has come to be known as the busting of the housing bubble.

Additionally, our trade agreements have not been created with America's best interests in mind, and now because of the tax laws on imports and exports, American companies to which my workplace sells product have moved their operations overseas, making our business more difficult and more expensive.

Mr. President, I welcome your populist ideas regarding imports and exports in the sense that your words sound good. I agree that it is vital that we improve our business relationships with foreign nations, while maintaining the integrity of America as the best nation in the world in which to do business.

I fully acknowledge that I am no economist, but I know enough to understand that the most important thing our federal government can do to stimulate job growth is to get out of the way.

Please do not attempt to create jobs with another "stimulus" plan, we've suffered enough from the first one.

Please do not ask Congress for a "jobs bill," there is no such thing as a bill without spending, and you can not legislate employment unless it is at the government level. Tonight you've declared a freeze on discretionary spending and presented yourself as a fiscally responsible leader. Fiscal responsibility does not include more spending, and you are likely to only add more to the deficit as you try to increase your poll numbers by adding more members of the federal employees union.

Mr. President, we currently owe approximately $40,000 in debt for each individual legally residing in The United States. Right now what we need more than anything is for our government to reduce spending in every way possible, lower income taxes so we have more money in our pockets to spend in the American marketplace, step aside, and let us get to the business of rebuilding our economy.

Until our federal government stops babysitting us and begins to allow us to be the greatest innovators in the world, we will continue this downward spiral toward political division, fiscal instability, and mediocrity.

You're So Vain

Carly Simon must have been a great prognosticator. It appears she knew that someday there would be a president so self-obsessed that his vanity would become fodder for an entire nation.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you... Well, I'll let him tell you. After all, he definitely loves to talk about himself.

Et Tu, Indonesia?

Via AFP-

Dateline Jakarta - Indonesian authorities said Monday they are considering a petition to tear down a statue of US President Barack Obama as a boy, only a month after the bronze was unveiled in Jakarta.

The statue of "Little Barry" -- as Obama was known when he lived in the capital in the late 1960s -- stands in central Jakarta's Menteng Park, a short walk from the US president's former elementary school.

Critics say the site should have been used to honour an Indonesian and 55,000 people have joined a page on social networking website Facebook calling for the statue to be removed.

"We've been discussing for the past two weeks what to do with the statue... whether to take it down, move it elsewhere or retain it. We're finding the best solution," Jakarta parks agency official Dwi Bintarto said.

The bronze was designed by Indonesian artists and depicts the boy Obama dressed in shorts and a T-shirt with a butterfly perched on his hand.

Members of the "Take Down the Barack Obama Statue in Menteng Park" group on Facebook say Obama has done nothing for Indonesia.

"Barack Obama has yet to make a significant contribution to the Indonesian nation. We could say Obama only ate and s (expletive) in Menteng. He spent his subsequent days living as an American," the web page says.

"For the dignity of a sovereign nation, Barack Obama's monument in Menteng Park must be removed immediately."

The childhood connection and his knowledge of a few words of Indonesian made Obama popular in the mainly Muslim country of 234 million people.

Obama said in November he would visit Indonesia this year along with First Lady Michelle Obama and daughters Malia and Sasha.

Toyota Recall

I know this isn't politics, but it is important.

Toyota has a major recall going on for a very serious safety defect in much of their product line. They have suspended sales of eight vehicles in their product line, and are recalling a number of vehicles built from 2005-2010. The recall is related to a sticking accelerator pedal.

Toyota issued a statement about their current (January) recall, as the company tries to stay ahead of a potential danger on the road to its customers. They didn't go as far as saying that the vehicles should not be driven, but rather that they have been recalled in order to fix the potential problem. In other words, they are expressing the belief that the problem "could" happen; but that they don't believe that it is a "sure thing" that the problem will occur with all of the affected Toyota models.

The list is as follows:

• 2009-2010 RAV4,
• 2009-2010 Corolla,
• 2009-2010 Matrix,
• 2005-2010 Avalon,
• 2007-2010 Camry,
• 2010 Highlander,
• 2007-2010 Tundra,
• 2008-2010 Sequoia

James O'Keefe Arrest: President Obama Reacts

President Barack Hussein Obama reportedly has made a statement regarding the arrest of James O'Keefe, the conservative activist who posed as a pimp to target the community-organizing group ACORN.

O'Keefe and the son of a federal prosecutor were among four people arrested by the FBI and accused of trying to interfere with phones at Sen. Mary Landrieu’s office.

"First," said the President, "I'd like to give a shout out to Andy Stern, without whom I never would have been elected."

"I don't know, not having been there and not seeing all the facts, what role Mr. O'Keefe's ACORN investigations played, but they definitely influence my opinion. I'm certain that the FBI acted stupidly," said the President.

"Now, I might be a little biased, since Senator Landrieu is a close business associate, without whom my master plan to take over... er... without whom health care reform for all Americans would not be possible."

"We certainly don't know all the answers, and I would caution against jumping to conclusions that these young people might be innocent until proven guilty, at least until we have all the facts," Obama said in the Rose Garden of the White House.

"What we do know is that there are um... families, friends and a large number of folks... uh... waving tea bags around who watch one particular cable news channel, and.. um.. they do not like me very much and... uh... seem to want to see me fail. What that has to do with anything we are... um... currently discussing I'm not sure, but my teleprompter is stuck and... uh.. I know you expect me to keep talking."

Sarah Palin's Latest Facebook Post Calls Out Obama on Energy Policy

Sarah Palin today posted scathing commentary on her Facebook page about America's energy policy under the Obama administration.

Including a link to an article that takes to task President Barack Hussein Obama's disingenuous concerns about China's recent oil grab, Palin states that it is her belief that Obama "just doesn't get it."

Her post:

America’s energy challenges are getting more and more serious every day, and yet the Obama administration just doesn’t get it. Please see this informative article that sheds light on one aspect of the president’s problem. It starts by explaining our energy demand will increase, and oil will be part of that demand.

"Well, what do you know? The Obama administration, whose entire energy posture going back into the presidential campaign has been both ideologically and practically stridently anti-oil, both as an industry and as a form of energy, has suddenly become “concerned” about China’s oil grab.

This is, to say the least, disingenuous.

The U.S. government under Barack Obama has yet to acknowledge once, in spite of widely held estimates, that oil will continue to account for 40% of world energy demand 25 years from now — this while total world energy demand will increase by 50%, at least."

Read the rest here. I look forward to hopefully hearing President Obama acknowledge America’s need to ramp up domestic energy production, including oil and natural gas developments, during Wednesday’s State of the Union address. Let’s hope his advisers advise him accordingly.

Our Harvard Educated President Speaks to Sixth Graders, Uses Teleprompter

How's this for "change?"

"Hope" it doesn't break...

In Contrast... That "Stupid Cowboy" George W. Bush...

What's this... That crowd isn't all pasty white?

Said what he meant, and meant what he said.

Hat tip to Feed Your ADHD, The Conservative Lady, and to all those to whom they give credit.

Update:

My original title stated that Barack Hussein Obama was speaking to first graders; it appears that was incorrect. Sorry, leftists.. it was sixth graders. I stand corrected. Oops.

And in case there's any question, Snarky Basterd at Feed Your ADHD has found this link to the source of the original pictures.

A Great Patriotic Letter by She of the Fuzzy Slippers

Today I found some must read material that I need to share with you.

Recently I added Fuzzy Logic to my blog roll. The owner of Fuzzy Logic, She of the Fuzzy Slippers or Fuzzy for short, has delivered an absolute stinger of a letter to the leftists who wish to attempt mockery as a form of political debate. She takes them to task in an inspiring, logical, and fact filled verbal assault that is polite yet to the point.

Without further adieu:

Dear Radical Progressives,

Hi there, my name is Fuzzy, and I'm a patriot, tax payer, free citizen of these United States. I wanted to take a few moments to explain a few things to those of you on the shrill, hate-filled, mean-spirited, thoroughly loony far far left, things that I'm pretty sure you cannot grasp, but I will try nonetheless.

1. Calling Tea Party patriots vile and crude names is (well, yes, vile and crude, but also) silly. You explode our numbers with your out of touch ridicule, that darned Alinsky magic just isn't working anymore. And you know why? Because we get it. You think we're wing nuts, whackos, blah blah blah. Shrug.

For your crazy, hate-filled raging to make any difference at all, two things would need to be true: I.) That we care, and by this I mean, that we are bothered enough by and/or shamed by your name-calling into stopping our resistance, into slinking into some PC "time out" corner. Oops, we're not. And II.) That you are making a difference to our detriment, and by this I mean that you are attracting an audience for and succeeding in your attempts to marginalize and demonize us. Oops, you're not. You're sitting in an enormous, once-overflowing auditorium, spewing venom, and you don't seem to notice that a steady stream of people are filing out and rejecting your message.

2. Sit down and take a deep breath, this one may sting: Saying that we are "against change" is not an insult. It's simple fact: we own it and are proud of it. We are against "change." We think that your brand of "change" is not only restrictive, anti-American, and substantively socialist but that it's also exceedingly dangerous to this country and to its people.

Your "accusing" us that we are against "change" is like "accusing" someone of being patriotic or of loving their family or their God. You sound thoroughly silly when you say it. So yeah, I'm against "change." Very much so. And?

By the way, all the variations of this--that we want the status quo, that we want to "go back"/"regress," etc.--are not only untrue but equally ineffective. As always with progs, the only way forward is your way, and as I've just explained, we reject progressive "change" and the horrifying "fundamental transformation of America" that you have in mind.

3. Thinking that it's a hurtful "accusation" that we want to block/obstruct/just say "no" to healthcare "reform." Silly rabbits. Of course we want to block it. It's a complete disaster and will do nothing but explode costs and raise taxes, while vastly expanding the size, power, scope, and reach of government. Not something I want to see happen. There are a few good things in the healthcare bills in the House and Senate. Take them out, type them up neatly on a page or two, run it through the CBO, and then we can talk about portability and tort reform. As is? We oppose it, want to block it, say "no" to it, and will do all we can to obstruct its passage. Yay us!

I definitely recommend Fuzzy as someone to check in with frequently. Fuzzy's blog can be found on my blog roll in my sidebar.

Back to the Campaign Trail: David Plouffe to Step Up Advisory Role

Another day, another campaign stop for Barack Hussein Obama, it appears.

The Washington Post is reporting that according to sources familiar with White House plans, former campaign manager David Plouffe will be stepping in to an outside advisory role for team Obama.

According to the Post article, "Allies of the White House cast the Plouffe move as less about the Massachusetts election and more about the fact that the election year is heating up and Plouffe has more free time following the publication of his campaign memoir late last year. Still, the timing is sure to stoke speculation that the White House is seeking to shore up its political operation."

Plouffe was the campaign manager of both the primary and general election for Obama, and has been associated with Obama since 2004. After the campaign ended he chose not to continue on to the White House, but instead went back to the "private sector" and has been working on a book called ""The Audacity to Win." The book was released on November 3, 2009.

Obama's first campaign stop will be on Capital Hill on Wednesday, as he delivers his first State of the Union address.

J. D. Hayworth Enters Arizona Senate Race

Occasionally on my drive home, I've had the pleasure of listening to J. D. Hayworth broadcast here in Phoenix on KFYI.

Well, tonight I have learned this will no longer be the case, as J. D. has resigned his post as afternoon drive-time talker and has officially entered the race for The United States Senate.

John McCain is the incumbent in the race. In November, polling by Rasmussen Reports showed a near dead-heat between the two men, even before Hayworth officially entered the race. Since Sarah Palin announced her intent to campaign for McCain his lead has received a significant bump.

It will be very interesting to see what (if any) bump in polling this announcement brings for Hayworth.

McCain has plans to bring in national names such as Palin, Joe the Plumber, and Senator-Elect Scott Brown to stump for him. Hayworth stated on local radio yesterday that he is not intimidated by McCain's celebrity line-up. I believe Hayworth understands that being low-key and maintaining fiscal responsibility, as well as running a positive campaign, are going to be keys to victory.

As of about two weeks ago, McCain had already begun advertising against Hayworth, who at that time had not even announced his candidacy. He has two ads on his website (conveniently on the donation page) but he is not sharing on that page the one that I have heard this week, which has a woman with a dreadful voice complaining "J. D. Hayworth? That's not what Arizona needs!" To be fair, the commercial discusses Hayworth's spending, and Hayworth was no angel as a Congressman. However, he has had a few years now to regain his relationship with voters, and he seems to understand a different approach is needed this time around.

McCain has a proven record. First and foremost, he is a gentleman, and a genuine American hero. Had the 2008 election taken place during any other time in our nation's history, there is no doubt McCain would be president today.

He is currently behaving like a real Conservative, but we must remember his true record.

I will give him his spending record - he is a great fiscal hawk, with not one earmark over a long, long career.

However, he is clearly pro-amnesty, regardless of anything he says today. He never would have involved himself in the disastrous McCain-Kennedy bill in 2007 if he were serious about a secure border.

Regarding relations with other countries he is rather hawkish. Lest we forget, the George W. Bush "surge" in Iraq was a John McCain concept.

He was just this week embarrassed to some degree by the prudent decision by the Supreme Court, as they overturned much of his McCain-Feingold legislation. Interestingly enough, had that terrible infringement on our First Amendment never been written, he would have had a significant advantage in the 2008 election.

McCain is very strong with regards to the sanctity of life. He is also very friendly to businesses, and more often than not favors tax cuts to stimulate business growth. He is pro-death penalty, and against hate-crime laws. He believes schools should answer to parents and students, and believes it would be beneficial to shake up failed school bureaucracies with competition.

However, McCain is in favor of a "Cap and Trade" legislation which would be terrible for businesses and individuals. He stated on the record that he would have been in favor of closing the prison at Guantanamo Bay if elected president. He said he would have "bought up bad mortgages to help people stay in homes." He also was against drilling for oil in ANWAR province, even though the governor of Alaska and his running-mate Sarah Palin was very much in favor of the idea.

McCain's "On The Issues" page is available here
.

J. D. Hayworth has spent the last couple of years getting back in touch with the issues on the ground and reintroducing himself to the voters of Arizona. He is very personable, as is McCain. Naturally, Hayworth is going to run strongly on the idea that it is time for McCain to come home, and it is time for someone more in touch with life in Arizona to represent the state.

J. D. is very strong on the sanctity of life. In 2000 he supported a balanced budget Amendment, and in 1994 also favored a line-item veto. He is very in tune with the desire of Arizona residents to secure our southern border and deal with the illegal immigration issue in a way that does not give a free pass or easy access to those who entered America illegally. Hayworth is also very against the idea of closing Gitmo, and believes that enemy combatants need to be treated as such and dealt with by our military and intelligence agencies, not by our civilian court system.

Hayworth is very friendly to businesses and job growth, and is a tax cutter much like McCain. He is against "Cap and Trade," and believes strongly in individual responsibility. He would not have considered a mortgage bailout such as that proposed by McCain. I believe he is an "all of the above" person when it comes to energy, although I can't say for certain that he would be open to drilling in ANWAR.

J. D. Hayworth's "On The Issues" page is available here.

As a Congressman, Hayworth received a 100% rating in 2006 from The American Conservative Union. In 2008, John McCain received a score of 63, with a lifetime rating of 81.43 - which shows McCain was clearly willing to pander in an effort to be elected president.

For more information about this announcement by J. D. Hayworth and related stories, The Conservative Lady has an excellent post. She actually scooped me - in my home state - way to go TCL!!

Unless between today and November 2nd he shows me a reason I should not, I will be supporting J. D. Hayworth for Senator. While I respect John McCain's service to our nation, I believe it is time for Senator McCain to step aside, and J. D. Hayworth is the right person at the right time for this job.

Live Free.. or Die - A Glenn Beck Documentary

Glenn Beck has produced a documentary that discusses the truth behind the Nazi party and its roots in Marxism. He also discusses Mao Tse Tung, Joseph Stalin, and perhapes most importantly Ernesto "Che" Guevera, who is a liberal (Progressive) icon, particularly within the Hollywood and Rock music crowd.

Also extremely intriguing are the recordings of playwright George Bernard Shaw, considered by most anyone to be a great literary scholar and writer.

There are some rather graphic images, but most importantly there is extremely honest and graphic discussion about the methods used by these historical figures. The point of the documentary is to bring light to the side of each of these individuals that is not being taught in schools today due to the Progressive infiltration of our school system, as well as to battle the iconic symbolism that Hollywood attempts to create from these persons.

These decisions are always best left in the hands of parents, and therefore I would recommend you watch this documentary first before exposing it to children. I would recommend this documentary for anyone who wishes to educate your children, as long as they are middle school or older.. maybe 12 years and up. Of course you know your kids best... and I would definitely say this is the type of program that would be best served by some frank discussion afterward.

I would definitely say that this work offers information about the leftists association with Hitler and the Nazi party that children will never hear about in school. Stalin was discussed rather openly when I was in high school, but that's been since last century, so I don't know how relevant my knowledge is today. I can assure you that the information about Che Gueverra is extremely important and something that schools definitely are not teaching. There is some interesting discussion about Marx and Friedrich Engels that is probably beyond anything public schools are teaching today.

There are seven segments total, including the short closing at the end.

Friday Night Videos: Couldn't Stand The Weather

Over the past week, we have had an amazing amount of rain here in The Valley of the Sun. Also, northern Arizona is under as much as six feet of snow in some areas, with interstate highways and major state routes in the Flagstaff area being closed for over one full day this week.

Sky Harbor Airport actually canceled flights due to inclement weather - something that almost never happens due to our usually sunny skies and calm environment. An entire town in western Arizona is reported to have been underwater after last night's storms, and all of our rivers are actually serving their purpose, rather than existing as dry gorges. Power outages are abundant, washes are running so high that roads are closed all over the Valley, and our local "lake" actually became so filled that officials had to open floodgates and allow runoff into the riverbed.

As many of you know, Southern California is also seeing torrential storms. There are once again homes falling off the side of cliffs, and this afternoon there was a dramatic dog rescue on Studio B on FNC (Shep Smith was hilarious in his play-by-play, in case you missed it).

So... to all those in the southwestern United States - hang in there. Here's a little something to help you get by - and to all of you further east - time to get ready for the storm.

What a Week

I recently had a discussion about the note alongside my picture in my sidebar, which says "I used to be a liberal, until I learned to think for myself."

I've come to the conclusion that there is no one answer to the discussion, which led me to explain how I used to be a "kool-aid drinker." Taking my information straight from the news and information sources I had in front of me rather than seeking to verify truth, I simply believed what I was told. Not only did I take my information straight from the local and national news on TV as well as the newspaper, but I bought into all the ideology preached to me by my favorite Hollywood stars and Rock and Roll performers.

Now I have a different approach. I listen to and watch different information and news sources than in the past. I do not believe everything I hear from any source (including Fox News and talk radio), and I don't dismiss everything I learn from "liberal" media either (even CNN and MSNBC get it right once in a while). I have come to understand that there is good and bad to be had from both sides of the political aisle. I now consider myself an independent leaning Conservative, but most of all I am an independent thinker.

Sometimes I have a tough time enjoying some of the music I used to (U2 is a perfect example) because of some of the ridiculous stances these performers take, and I have not gone to see a movie in a theater for over ten years, because I refuse to support Hollywood. Call me a hard-liner, call me closed minded... I'm fine with all of the names. I have chosen a different value system in my life because I understand how important personal responsibility is. I've lived a life without personal responsibility, and now I am consumed by it - sometimes to a fault.

So to bring this discussion full circle, the following is another part of my conversion from liberalism.

I never lived the life as described in the following letter, but I never thought much of it and didn't really allow myself to understand the ramifications brought upon an entire society by the actions of people who lived lifestyles as described below. I didn't get it that if people were living off the government, what they were really doing was living off of the honest work of people like me.

Mind you - accepting assistance because you really need it, when you are truly making an effort - completely different situation. I'm glad the government has support systems for people at a certain level, because the truth is in today's society it is difficult to expect things to be exactly as they were at the time of our founding.

So I was reading Don Surber's blog tonight - he's an interesting read and is on my blog roll, check him out sometime if you never have. Anyway... he offered the following post that included the following letter to the editor, written by a medical doctor.

I know this has made the email rounds and is a few months old, but I believe it's worth the rehash.

The letter, verified by Snopes:

Dear Sirs:

“During my last night’s shift in the ER, I had the pleasure of evaluating a patient with an expensive shiny gold tooth, multiple elaborate expensive tattoos, a very expensive brand of tennis shoes and a new cellular telephone equipped with her favorite R&B tune for a ringtone. Glancing over the chart, one could not help noticing her payer status: Medicaid. She smokes more than one costly pack of cigarettes every day and, somehow, still has money to buy beer.

And our Congress expects me to pay for this woman’s health care? Our nation’s health care crisis is not a shortage of quality hospitals, doctors or nurses. It is a crisis of culture — a culture in which it is perfectly acceptable to spend money on vices while refusing to take care of one’s self or, heaven forbid, purchase health insurance. A culture that thinks “I can do whatever I want to because someone else will always take care of me”. Life is really not that hard. Most of us reap what we sow. Don’t you agree?

STARNER JONES, MD

This letter describes perfectly the greatest sickness that we have in America today - the Progressive agenda. There is an entire group of people who would love to have nothing more than an entire society of people who live their lives in that exact fashion. Progressives entice people with sound-bytes and catch phrases, and bring them to believe that they have the answer to all difficulties life brings. Conceptually this makes it very easy for the agenda to entice new followers - who doesn't want life to be easier?

However, should the day ever come that the Progressive movement ever actually takes hold of America, there will not be fancy sneakers and cell phones amongst the common class - there will be servitude, poverty, and despair. Progressive leaders see themselves as better... elite, if you will. Arugula, not a pick-up truck.

Life is not always easy, and sometimes the most difficult challenges life brings also offer the most valuable lessons. Experience breeds confidence and knowledge beyond anything a book in a university has to offer.

We have witnessed this week an amazing turn in our political landscape. The Progressive agenda has been struck a great blow. Scott Brown's election was a clear referendum on the elitism of the people currently in power in Washington. Air America today ceased programming and filed bankruptcy. A large part of McCain - Feingold was found unconstitutional by The Supreme Court, and freedom of speech was given a new lease on life. "Health care" may actually be dead, at least at the level that does not require reconciliation.

We have only just begun to witness historic events unfold. If we were to look at politics as a boxing match, American freedom and Conservative values have been throwing good body blows, with a few jarring jabs. However, we have a very formidable opponent, and we must maintain the offensive. We need to get our opponent - the Progressive movement - on the ropes and set them up for the knockout punch.

Lace 'em up...

MSNBC is in a Tailspin!!

I'll post video if it shows up on YouTube, but I just wanted to share with you all...

Nora O'Donnell is reporting live from Scott Brown's headquarters. My buddy Keith Olbermann is hosting from NYC. Olbermann asks if there's any way to describe the feeling there, and O'Donnell has been on a non-stop rant about how this is "A huge upset for the Democratic Party" and continues to discuss how the Democrats will have to gather and discuss what went wrong.

Again - she's reporting from Brown's HQ and made no mention of the exuberance at that event.. you know, where the winner is celebrating!?!?

Political Earthquake - AP Projects Brown Winner in Massachusetts Special Election

Massachusetts has sent shock waves across America this evening, as at 9:22pm EST The Associated Press projected Scott Brown the winner of the special election for the People's Senate seat formerly held by the late Ted Kennedy.

Friday Night Videos: Keith Olbermann

In a bit of a departure from my usual Friday night offerings, I can't help but bring you my breakdown of Keith Olbermann's "Worst Persons in the World" from tonight, as it is truly a spectacle to behold.

It’s been an amazing week in the news, dominated by the tragedy of a magnitude 7.0 earthquake in Haiti. There has been some excellent reporting by all of the networks I’m sure, although I do not watch all the networks due to a lack of time. I also do not wish to have their political desires forced down my throat, which is exactly what happens every time someone turns on MSNBC, whose slogan "The Place for Politics” should be reworked. Perhaps “The Place for Blatant Lies and Misrepresentation” would be a better fit.

I decided to channel-surf during the commercial break at about the: 45 minute mark of "The Factor" and see what my favorite leftist whacko Keith Olbermann had to say. I must say, I was not disappointed; Olbermann was in full-on hate mode on a Friday evening, as is displayed by the following video:

Most of all, it is painfully obvious that Olbermann thinks the entire world needs to devote every waking second to coverage of the earthquake. While it’s certainly an important subject, his attempt to deride FNC and its hosts for covering important American news and politics is simply petty and childish.

Before he even gets to one of his “Worst Persons” he is obviously showing signs of delusional paranoia, as he clearly attempts to deflect upon FNC his and Chris Matthews behavior from the 2008 Presidential election. Also, accusing FNC of “forcing” Palin to become president is comical, especially considering the fact that she has clearly stated she doesn’t even know if she’s considering a run for office of any kind.

I really didn’t need to see any more, but like that experience of driving by a really bad wreck, I just couldn’t look away.

For his choice of second runner-up, he went after Sean Hannity. Occasionally I am willing to give Olbermann credit for his takes on Hannity, as occasionally Sean is a little over the top and has been known to stretch the truth just a bit. Not this time. Hannity is exactly correct in the statement that everyone is watching the Senate race in Massachusetts but obviously Olbermann and the leftists he speaks to do not want anyone watching Martha Coakley self-destruct. (Notice I spell-checked Massachusetts! lol)

First runner-up this evening is Glenn Beck. Olbermann attempts to discredit Beck by saying that Beck can’t grasp the world around him, and then bashes Beck for ignoring Haiti. Again, it’s an important subject… but FNC in its news division did an amazing job of covering the story and Beck’s show is an opinion forum. Someday Olbermann might realize that his is the same… oh, never mind. Olbermann is so dishonest he tries to discredit Beck's TV show, but then uses clips from his radio show...

What’s worst about Olbermann’s attempt to shine light on the supposed evil of Beck, though, is that Olbermann doesn’t even present facts honestly, taking his quotes from Media Matters and then editing them further, taking them even more out of context. Beck is not so much criticizing Obama for reacting quickly to the tragedy in Haiti as he is trying to understand why domestic issues do not warrant such a response from the president.

Here is the Media Matters clip of Beck, which when heard complete as a discussion with co-host Pat Gray actually comprises a logical conversation that anyone with common sense would agree with:

And last, but not least… winner of tonight's contest is Bill O’Reilly.

In my opinion O’Reilly has had the best coverage of all regarding the issue in Haiti. This is not due to minutes spent per hour or overwhelmingly heart-wrenching video, but because of brutal honesty that is sorely needed and will not be presented by anyone from the mainstream media. Here is his ‘Talking Points Memo’ from Wednesday, in case you missed it:

Additionally, here is the segment Olbermann tries to use against O’Reilly – again, notice how completely out of context the discussion is presented during Olbermann’s segment, as compared to what really takes place.

But most important of all is the simple fact that Keith Olbermann once again proves he has no brain and his research staff is clearly Media Matters. I offer as proof this cached link to the Media Matters webpage.

Keith Olbermann: if he were not so pathetic, I'd say he deserves to be named "Worst Person In the World."
