A Strong Case For Term Limits

If you have not heard by now, Rep. Diane Watson (D, CA) had some very interesting things to say at her town hall meeting last week.

With her most recent statements, Rep. Watson displayed publicly that she is in line with the current Progressive ideal, which currently is making an overt attempt to indoctrinate our citizenry with Marxist and Communist ideals.

Watson began with what sounds like a disrespectful jab at El Rushbo, pronouncing his name "Limbo." Then she went on a diatribe about how Rush wishes for President Obama's failure, still working the tired and out-of-context liberal talking points about how Rush wishes for America's failure. She put forward the typical spin about how "If the Commander-in Chief fails, America fails" which, interestingly enough, did not apply over the last five years of President Bush's tenure. Additionally, it seems someone forgot to remind Rep. Watson that nearly forty years ago, President Richard Nixon literally failed in his Presidency, yet America carried on and, after some healing (and an extremely inept Jimmy Carter held office) grew stronger than ever.

She then went on to the liberal racist rant in which liberals claim that anyone opposing Obama wishes for his failure because of his skin color, stating it's about the fact that he "Looks like me" (in case you aren't aware, Rep. Watson is Black).

She then began to spread the good word of Communism, talking about how she just got back from China, and all the good Chinese people "look at The United States, as a country that has changed it's way and elected someone from Kenya and Africa, I'll put it like that. And they're saying 'We though you would never do that'"

Oh, really, Rep. Watson? Do you really expect me to believe for one second that a nation full of Chinese who are being suppressed by their leadership are that concerned with the skin color of the man who leads The United States? Granted, I was not on your trip, and I have never been to China (on the taxpayer's dime, no less) but I would bet if I could conduct a survey, the actual percentage of Chinese who care that Barack Obama's father came from Kenya would come in at less than half...probably far less, at that.

This wonder of American Representation then went on to talk about how we "Regain our status" based on the success of Barack Obama.

Barack Obama's personal success or failure as President of the United States does not directly affect our status as a "cool country" in the world - and if it does, that should be our last concern. Anyone with a shred of intelligence and decency should understand that what other nations think of us is not what is truly important. What matters most is that America do the right thing, regardless of world opinion. Therefore, I beg to differ with Ms. Watson in a couple of ways that are not mutually exclusive.

First, Barack Obama's success as a President on the domestic front only speaks to how effective he is at manipulating a political system, since that is essentially what has become of the Presidency of The United States. And success on the world stage would indicate that he didn't anger anyone too much, or let his guard down to the point of making America vulnerable. However, failure is not exclusively known by an attack on our homeland or warring nations overseas; failure on the international scene also could be indicated by a loss of the security thus far gained in Iraq, or the spread of Islamic Fundamentalism due to his negligence, or many other indicators which we will know only once his time has past.

Second, real success for America under an Obama Presidency would mean personal failure for Barack Obama as President, as it has become more than evident that he is a partisan with an agenda that does not fit within the mold of what our Constitution intends and our Founding Fathers desired. Barack Obama is clearly a man cut from a Marxist cloth; this is most evident when examining the people with whom he has surrounded himself, as well as the teachings of Black Liberation Theology, the ideals of the church Obama attended for approximately twenty years (although we must remember he never heard any of those taped sermons).

Later in the same town hall meeting, Watson espoused the wonders of the Cuban health care system, and sung the praises of Che Guevara and Fidel Castro and the wonder of the Cuban Revolution.

Here is an audio clip of the meeting:

To be fair, Representative Watson has a stellar career as a member of The House.

According to www.govtrack.us over the course of 8 years she has sponsored a whopping 38 bills since January, 2001. 29 of those never made it out of committee.

The 5 bills that she has seen enacted while living off the taxpayer dime breakout as follows:

3 Post Office name changes

1 bill awarding the Congressional Gold Medal to Dr. Dorothy Height

1 bill re-authorizing the United States Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy by (I kid you not) "striking `October 1, 2006' and inserting `October 1, 2009'."

Yes you read it right. The only Watson sponsored operating legislation is nothing but a date change to amend legislation already in force. And to top it off, that was back in May 2007 with nothing enacted since.

Ms. Watson, please - since you're so confident in the capabilities of the Cuban health care system, I would like to ask if you would make arrangements to take the Cuban program as yours, and give to me your health care plan. I am quite certain I could find someone in need of good health care to whom I could offer your 'allotment' of services, while you go visit Fidel and Raul in the Communist paradise of which you seem so fond.

H/T to Geoff Caldwell at Examiner.com for the breakdown of Rep. Watson's stats. A map of Watson's district here and a breakdown of her constituents by race and party, as well as their 2000 Presidential election voting record here.

2010: In, or Out?

These five items (with which I fully agree) have been laid out by The Glenn Beck Program as values to which our Congressional Representatives must commit.

If you too believe in these five core values, and believe that those representing you in Washington, DC should too, please inform your representatives that if they are not willing to commit to you in writing that they agree with the ideas before them, that they will not be receiving your vote in the upcoming election.

Senate contact information can be found here: http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm

House contact information can be found here: https://writerep.house.gov/writerep/welcome.shtml

You can copy and paste these directly from this page into an email or the form provided on the government website.

1. I believe in a balanced budget and therefore will vote for a freeze in government spending until that goal is realized.

2. I believe government should not increase the financial burden on its citizenry during a difficult economic times, therefore I will oppose all tax increases until our economy has rebounded.

3. I believe more than four decades of US dependence on foreign oil is a travesty, therefore I will support an energy plan that calls for immediately increasing usage of all domestic resources including nuclear energy, natural gas and coal as necessary.

4. I believe in the sovereignty and security of our country and therefore will support measures to close our borders except for designated immigration points so we will know who is entering and why. I will vehemently oppose any measure giving another country, the United Nations, or any other entity power over US citizens.

5. I believe the United States of America is the greatest country on earth and therefore will no apologize for policies or actions which have served to free more and feed more people around the world than any other nation on the planet.

Please contact your Congressional Representatives in both Houses and demand that they commit to these five basic American values.

Self Depracating, Or Just Absolutely Disgusting?

I heard this clip on Rush's show today, and was horrified.

This isn't an accusation from Ted Kennedy's political opponents, but a nostalgic remembrance by one of his friends. Ed Klein, former Newsweek editor, tells the Diane Rehm Show:

"I don't know if you know this or not, but one of his favorite topics of humor was indeed Chappaquiddick itself. And he would ask people, have you heard any new jokes about Chappaquiddick?

That is just the most amazing thing. Its not that he didn't feel remorse about the death of Mary Jo Kopechne, but that he still always saw the other side of everything and the ridiculous side of things, too."

Are you kidding me?

This is the man over whom the entire left is in tears, sobbing and wailing, crying about how wonderful it would be to get "Health Care" done "In his honor," and here is a friend of his talking about how Kennedy liked to hear jokes about how a young woman died because he drove off a bridge while (allegedly) extremely intoxicated?

Once he reached shore, Kennedy claims to have made seven or eight attempts to rescue his victim, Mary Jo Kopechne, but could not free her. He then left the scene and didn't tell authorities until the next day, after the car and the body of Kopechne were found by two fishermen. He never did time for this abhorrent act, receiving a suspended two month sentence.

Now I'm as quick as anyone to have a good laugh at my own expense. I can be a real idiot, and I know it and love to help people make fun of me.

However, I can't even begin to imagine the feelings I would have, should I ever be responsible for the death of another human being... let alone have such a horrific event occur in such an irresponsible fashion. And, God forbid something so horrific ever happen in my life, I would never... absolutely never make a joke about that event or wish to hear a joke about that event.

I can only hope that Ed Klein misspoke during this interview.

As I write this, I in no way intend to dance on the grave of Ted Kennedy. I don't agree with much of his politics, but as John McCain said about him, I believe Kennedy was a man with a good heart who wished well for America, and that he was a man who said what he meant and meant what he said.

However, if Kennedy said that he wanted to know if his friends had heard any good Chappaquiddick jokes lately, and he meant that he honestly wanted to hear them, then I would believe I was wrong, because I sincerely believe that nobody with a good heart could ever act in such a disgusting manner.

Who Is Speaking Truth, And Who Is Buying Power?

Novelist Jeffrey Archer in his work 'The Fourth Estate' made the observation:

"In May 1789, Louis XVI summoned to Versailles a full meeting of the 'Estates General'. The First Estate consisted of three hundred clergy. The Second Estate, three hundred nobles. The Third Estate, six hundred commoners.

Some years later, after the French Revolution, Edmund Burke, looking up at the Press Gallery of the House of Commons, said, 'Yonder sits the Fourth Estate, and they are more important than them all.'"

While that may not appear to be true at first glance, a deeper look into the message, money, and power in today's media tells a different story.

Today's "Fourth Estate" consists of major corporations that have many outlets through which they are able to propagate their message. Generally speaking, major media outlets are found on television, radio, print media, and on the internet. Many corporations own a diverse selection from all of these media forms; others focus their efforts in a more specialized manner.

Smaller enterprises with less capital are found primarily on the internet, as it is a less expensive business to operate. The internet also broadcasts worldwide, so a business-savvy person with a good marketing plan can gain "clicks" from around the globe.

Of course the internet is not exclusive to the little guy; a visit to the News category on Alexa.com, considered by many to be the premier internet traffic information company, finds the first twelve listings are major corporations, with lucky number 13 being The Huffington Post.

Arianna Huffington's left-leaning website has become quite a formidable player in the modern media. Recently, Barack Obama even called on Nico Pitney, a reporter from HuffPo who, during the turmoil surrounding the recent Iranian election had a very dedicated and thorough thread running on the site which kept up with great detail and reasonable accuracy.

Ms. Huffington, the daughter of a wealthy Greek journalist and management consultant, is a bit of a political opportunist. She has changed political affiliations twice; in her younger days she was a leftist. She met and married a Republican named Michael Huffington during the Reagan era, while Conservatism was at its peak. During the late 90's she flipped back to liberalism, and has very much been in the media forefront as an anti-Bush Progressive ever since.

On the Conservative side of the aisle one will find The Drudge Report coming in at a respectable number 33.
Matt Drudge gained notoriety by breaking the Monica Lewinski scandal. His is a true rags-to-riches story, as he began his news career sending emails to friends in the early 90's. His early work was primarily celebrity gossip, which evolved into a combination of celebrity and politics much as it is today. These emails were also posted on Usenet newsgroups, until 1996 when he began his web-based site that has become known worldwide for its simple style, diverse selection of information, and flashing light whenever "Breaking News" happens.

While Drudge may not rank quite as high on Alexa, he is a force nonetheless. He took great heat during the 2008 campaign for appearing too Conservative for the taste of many, yet conversely Huffington and other Liberal websites escape criticism for their partisan slant.

Political talk radio tends to offer primarily Conservative points of view, although Liberals certainly have plenty of voices that can be heard, and like any market in The United States of America, a free market offers everyone opportunity.
NPR, while superficially moderate, trends Liberal in its perspective. Describing itself as a "privately supported, not-for-profit membership organization," NPR receives 11% of its funds from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), which is federally funded and 5% from local and state governments. Another Liberal talk radio entity, Air America, has struggled with its business model, and in 2006 filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The company was eventually bought by Green Family Media, which is owned by two powerful New York City Liberals.

Without a doubt, Rush Limbaugh is the premier voice in Conservative talk radio, as has been the case since the late 1980's when he began broadcasting nationwide.

Limbaugh began his radio career as a music station DJ, then moved to political talk in 1984 in San Fransisco. When Ronald Reagan repealed the "Fairness Doctrine," Rush took talent and opportunity and created a situation that has brought him great success.

Limbaugh was the loudest and most critical voice of dissent during the Clinton years, and was awarded an honorary membership in the 1994 Freshman Congressional caucus.

Many, including Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, Laura Ingraham, and more have also gained notoriety over the years. Most all of them are broadcast on Clear Channel Communications stations, and are contracted by Premier Radio Networks.

Print media is a fading concept. Newspapers and magazines are losing readership in massive numbers, which is likely a combination of the massive growth of the internet and the extreme politics of print journalists. As an example, more often than not an article written by an Associated Press journalist will display an (R) next to a name when describing illegal or scandalous events perpetrated by a Republican, but the same will almost never hold true in the case of a Democrat and the display of a (D) to symbolize party affiliation.

Television is a web of corporate interests, woven between public airwaves broadcast and subscription feeds via cable and satellite. Broadcast television news consists of the "big three" networks - ABC, NBC, and CBS. Fox Broadcast network does offer local news broadcasts and will broadcast Presidential or other major national events, but does not have a daily national news broadcast.

CNN is the largest worldwide television news entity, carrying two feeds in America, CNN and "Headline News." CNN is owned by Time Warner Cable, and the U.S. News network is a division division of The Turner Broadcasting System. CNN ranks second in ratings in The U. S. behind Fox News Channel. During prime time in the U.S., CNN offers a moderate host named Campell Brown, followed by unabashedly liberal Larry King and Anderson Cooper.

Fox News Channel is considered by liberals to be biased in favor of Republican politics. The network advertises itself as "Fair and Balanced," and during news broadcasts FNC is as accurate in its reporting as any other media outlet. To be fair, an honest assessment of FNC would show that during opinion broadcasts FNC does trend Conservative. FNC offers radio talkers Glenn Beck, a Libertarian with Conservative fiscal policy beliefs, and Sean Hannity leaning further to the right. Meanwhile Greta Van Susteren and Bill O'Reilly are more moderate, yet generally align Conservative.

ABC News is owned by The Walt Disney Company, which also, under the umbrella of The Disney-ABC Television Group, owns The Disney Channel, ABC Family, and ABC Broadcasting. ABC also has a partnership with Comcast in which it broadcasts on demand a portion of its ABC lineup. Interestingly, Comcast chairman Brian Roberts and his mother Suzanne are ardent supporters of the Democratic Party, and while ABC appears no be fair in its news reporting, the entertainment division of ABC offers very liberally influenced programming.

CBS, owned by Viacom, is almost unabashedly liberal in its news reporting. Historically it has had anchormen Walter Cronkite, an admitted liberal, who during his tenure as anchor did an excellent job of hiding his personal political interests, with the rare exception of his opining about the Vietnam War, about which he said "It is increasingly clear that the only rational way out will be to negotiate, not as victors but as an honorable people who lived up to the pledge to defend democracy."

Dan Rather, Cronkite's successor, is famous for presenting with the help of producer Mary Mapes, a completely fictitious story that depended on documents that have since been discredited about George W. Bush, just 55 days before a very tight 2004 presidential election. In addition to the clearly fictitious documents, Mapes was told before her story went on the air that Bush had volunteered to go to Vietnam - and left this information out of the story.

Rather's replacement Katie Couric has made no secret of her happiness after her erratic interview of Sarah Palin, during which she was condescending and snarky. It is widely believed by Conservatives that Couric manipulated that interview to present Palin in a bad light, while Liberals insist that Palin essentially came into the interview unprepared and the presentation simply highlighted an already unworthy Vice-Presidential Candidate.

Finally, Viacom International Chairman Sumner Redstone and MTV Viacom Chairman Tom Freston are both supporters of the Democratic party.

In addition to their public broadcast news shows, NBC broadcasts on cable under the name MSNBC. NBC Universal is owned by General Electric, and the CEO of GE is a man named Jeffrey Immelt. Since Immelt took the reins at GE in 2000, their stock has plummeted from $39.66 to $14.19, a loss of $25.47 per share, or 64% of its value. Yet somehow, after Barack Obama was elected President in 2008, Immelt was named to an Economic Advisory Board for the President. Additionally, Immelt is a Class B Director of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

NBC is decidedly Liberal in its politics. On their website, you can "Shop NBC News" and buy such novelties as Barack Obama's Audacity Of Hope, a Barack Obama bobblehead, "Yes We Did" t-shirts, and many other items Obama.

On MSNBC, host Keith Olbermann allowed guest Janine Garofalo to call Americans racists and redneck "teabaggers" because they held rallies known as "Tea Parties" in an effort to speak out against an out of control government in Washington, DC.

On election night, another MSNBC host, Chris Matthews, admitted he wanted to "Do everything I can to make this thing work.. this new Presidency work." Matthews also claimed after an Obama speech that he "Felt a thrill going up my leg" and called that statement "An objective assessment."

In 2008, near the end of the Presidency of George W. Bush, PBS host Bill Moyers pointedly said:

“Democracy without honest information creates the illusion of popular consent while enhancing the power of the state and the privileged interests protected by it.

Democracy without accountability creates the illusion of popular control while offering ordinary Americans cheap tickets to the balcony, too far away to see that the public stage is just a reality TV set.

Nothing more characterizes corporate media today – mainstream and partisan – than disdain towards the fragile nature of modern life and indifference toward the complex social debate required of a free and self-governing people.

This leaves you with a heavy burden – it’s up to you to fight for the freedom that makes all other freedoms possible.”

In my opinion, Given the arrogance of the majority of The Fourth Estate today, the lack of brokers of honest information certainly may be creating the illusion of popular consent for today's powerful and politically elite.

Perhaps it has become the media who are enhancing the power of the state and the privileged interests protected by it - for it is becoming more apparent every day that the privileged are creating a Democracy without accountability.

It is time for Americans to trade up and get out of those cheap seats in the balcony.

This is reality, not a TV set, and we must always remember that in order to supress and defeat the disdain shown towards the fragile nature of modern life and indifference toward the complex social debate - a free and self-governing people are required to fight for the freedom that makes all other freedoms possible.

God Bless The United States of America.

Opie, The Freedom Loving Capitalist

Check out Opie. He's a smart fella.

I'm thinking Opie is a real go-getter. Opie probably loves to play fetch, and loves the reward of hard work. Lots of bones buried in Opie's back yard, I'll bet.

On the other hand, Opie doesn't seem to be interested in the "redistribution" policies of the current administration.

Either that, or he heard about the "red pill, blue pill" metaphor President Obama recently used during one of his "Town Hall Meetings" and is a little skeptical.

Judge for yourself...

I Want You To Love Your Country

I have made no secret of the fact that I support Glenn Beck in his effort to inform the American people with information otherwise not being provided by the media in general. I believe Glenn Beck is today as important a voice as Rush Limbaugh was during the Clinton administration.

Of course Rush is still the most formidable Conservative Pundit bar-none, but right now Glenn is able to go places it seems nobody else has, and is asking questions I've not even heard Rush Limbaugh ask about Barack Obama. Additionally, since Beck is a relatively fresh voice, he's able to attract moderates who may have (sadly) tuned out Rush and won't try tuning in again.

Glenn Beck said tonight on his show:

"Questioning your government is not only a RIGHT or IMPORTANT, it is a REQUIREMENT in a Democratic Republic."

I believe this is true for both sides of the political aisle, always. It is my belief that it is not only responsible to question the party you disagree with, but it is equally or more important to question the party you tend to align with.

I first learned this lesson during the Clinton administration. He was the first president I ever voted for, and I voted for him twice. Full disclosure: I was still relatively young, and MTV's Rock The Vote influenced my decision making then. Back then I absolutely did not seek information like I do today.

George W. Bush's time in office gave me more insight to the fact that both sides can be right and both sides can be wrong. I supported and voted for Bush for his first term, and every day I thank God that AlGore did not win the 2000 election.

However, in '04 I didn't think we had a good choice. I was starting to see things in the Bush administration I didn't like, and I definitely didn't (and still do not) respect John Kerry, so I forfeited possibly the most important right all Americans have and abstained from voting.

There are always ethical and logical questions to be asked of politicians, regardless of party. It is my opinion that anyone who blindly follows a party line doesn't have all the information they need to make an informed decision.

Tonight, in closing, I would like to give a shout-out to Clifton B. at Another Black Conservative as well as TCL at The Conservative Lady for posting clips from Beck's shows this week.

As I commented on Clifton's blog, I watched Monday's show and took so many notes my head was pounding and my wrist was aching. I started to do some Google searching, but I didn't have the energy to put it all together and post something I was comfortable with, and because of the quantity and significance of the issues raised about Van Jones on Monday, I felt anything short of thorough would not be proper.

Anyway... if you haven't ever been to their blogs, please visit them, as well as everyone on my "wisdom of others" list. We all appreciate the traffic and the comments.

Tell 'em I sent ya, if you think it will help...

ObamaCare Top Ten List

Here are the Top Ten Indicators that you're enrolled in government's proposed Health Care Plan:

10 - Your annual breast exam is done at Hooters.

9 - Directions to your doctor's office include "Take a left when you enter the trailer park."

8 - The tongue depressors taste faintly of a Fudgesicle.

7 - The only proctologist in the plan is "Gus" from Roto-Rooter.

6 - The only item listed under Preventive Care Coverage is "an apple a day...."

5 - Your primary care physician is wearing the pants you gave to Goodwill last month.

4 - "The patient is responsible for 200% of out-of-network charges" is not a typographical error..

3 - The only expense covered 100% is "embalming."

2 - Your Prozac comes in different colors with little "M's" on them.

1 - You ask for Viagra and they give you a Popsicle stick and some Duct tape.

You Spend Two Trillion Bucks...

Apparently this song has been around for a while. I just heard it this morning on The Nearly Famous Barry Young Show, on KFYI in Phoenix, AZ, and wanted to share it with you.

Barry and his producer, Corella Michela Buffy Lee Larson, along with their engineer Andrew Babinski, are a phenomenal team of Conservative talkers. If don't live in Phoenix, but you have the time and interest in listening to some entertaining and informative talk radio (complete with Religion Of Peace Updates), I highly recommend you download their podcasts.

If you follow this link to Barry's show you can hear the same song, but it's set to a different video than the one I have. It's fun too, but I especially like this one, because it was created by those racists at The National Black Republican Association, who certainly must be anti-Obama because of his skin color...

Enjoy, and as always thanks for stopping by!

An American Divorce

As found on ResistNet.com, a bit of Sunday "humor" for you...

DIVORCE AGREEMENT

Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and

Obama supporters, et,al:

We have stuck together since the late 1950's, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce.
I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has run its course.
Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right, so let's just end it on friendly terms.
We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences, and go our separate ways.

Here is a model separation agreement:

Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy!

Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes.

Here's how:
1) We don't like redistributive taxes, so you can keep them.
2) You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU.
3) Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military.
4) You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and Rosie O'Donnell (You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them).
5) We will keep the capitalistic, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart and Wall Street.
6) You can have your beloved homeless, homeboys, hippies and illegal aliens.
7) We'll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEO's and rednecks.
8) We'll keep the Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood.
9) You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we'll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us.
10) You can have the peaceniks and war protesters.
11) We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values.
12) You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism and Shirley McClain.
13) You can also have the U.N., but we will no longer be paying the bill.
14) We'll keep the SUVs, pickup trucks and over-sized luxury cars.
15) You can take every Subaru station wagon you can find.
16) You can give everyone health care if you can find any practicing doctors.
17) We'll continue to believe health care is a luxury and not a right. And, that we have the best care in the world right here in America.
18) We'll keep The Battle Hymn of the Republic and the National Anthem.
19) I'm sure you'll be happy to substitute "Imagine," "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing," "Kum bay ya" or "We Are the World."
20) We'll practice trickle-down economics and you can give trickle-up poverty your best shot.
21) Since it often so offends you, we'll keep our history, our name and our flag.

Would you agree to this? If so, please pass it along to other like minded liberal and conservative patriots. If you do not agree, hit delete.

In the spirit of friendly parting, I'll bet you ANWAR which one of us will need whose help in 15 years.

Sincerely,

John J. Wall

Law Student and an American {Sherman}

P.S. Also, please take Barbara Streisand & Jane Fonda with you. Thank You.

I think the only things he forgot are The Constitution, which leftists clearly don't respect, and the Declaration of Independence. I suppose they both fall under the category of 'our history' to some degree, but I'd add them to the list, just to be sure.

He also forgot to be sure that Alec Baldwin, Janine Garofalo, and a handful of others made the 'please take' list, but they are leftists, so I guess it's assumed...?

If You Have Not Seen This, You Need To

On his YouTube page, the Marine in the video says this:

"I, David William Hedrick, a member of the silent majority, decided that I was not going to be silent anymore. So, I let U.S. Congressman Brian Baird have it. I was one questioner out of 38, that was called at random from an audience that started at 3,000 earlier in the evening. Not expecting to be called on, I quickly scratched what I wanted to say on a borrowed piece of paper and with a pen that I borrowed from someone else in the audience minutes before I spoke. So much for the planned talking points of the right wing conspiracy."

Update: Glenn Beck Sponsorship

I previously posted about some letters I had written to Glenn Beck's sponsors, as well as a letter I received from GEICO regarding their subjective decision. Today I checked my email, and found a second letter; this from ConAgra Foods:

August 21, 2009

Dear Soloman,

Your communication concerning the problem you experienced with our products was most welcome. We appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention.

Thank you for sharing your perspective with us regarding our decision not to advertise during the Glenn Beck show. Like many other advertisers, we work through a media buyer to purchase time on broadcast stations during periods when our targeted demographic is likely to be watching. Our advertisements are never intended to support or endorse a particular program, and we do not determine our media purchases based on interest groups or political agendas.

Regarding this decision, we want to be clear that ConAgra Foods is firmly committed to diversity. That commitment is not related in any way to a political or special interest group agenda-our commitment to diversity is core to our company's values. In addition, our advertising objectives-including reaching our targeted demographic-can be accomplished without the use of purchased air time during the Glenn Beck show.

Thank you so much for taking the time to contact us and for your interest in our fine products.

Sincerely,

Lesley
Consumer Affairs
Ref: 052582538A

I will again state my opinion. These places of business have every right to make any business decision they see as prudent. However, it is my belief that these decisions are not being made objectively. I also know that they are being strongly influenced by left wing extremist organizations, most specifically ColorOfChange.org, as can be seen by the "Featured Campaign" on the front page of ColorOfChange.org. It reads as follows:

"Fox's Glenn Beck recently said President Obama is "a racist" and has a "deep-seated hatred for white people." Beck is on a campaign to convince the American public that President Obama's agenda is about serving the needs of Black communities at White people's expense. It's repulsive, divisive and shouldn't be on the air.

Join us in calling on Beck's advertisers to stop sponsoring his show."

Now, to be fair, the quotes as described are not completely accurate, and are taken completely out of the context in which they are made during the course of a conversation that lasted over 10 minutes.

Furthermore, Beck's intent is assumed by ColorOfChange.org; it is completely subject to the interpretation of the people who create and maintain that website and any organization that may benefit from that website's efforts.

Here is the video from which the quotes in question are taken, the first at about 0:33, the second at about 2:00.

I do not believe that Glenn Beck is "On a campaign to convince the American public that President Obama's agenda is about serving the needs of Black communities at White people's expense." I do, however, believe that by presenting the facts in the following clip as well as many other facts over the course of Barack Obama's campaign and presidency, Glenn Beck is doing the American people a service that should be done by people with degrees in Journalism who are paid specifically for that work.

Glenn Beck has articulated the reasons for his beliefs on more than one occasion. While Beck's conclusion is subjective, it is his right to state his conclusion. I also understand that it is the right of ColorOfChange.org to attempt to manipulate the marketplace in order to persecute those with whom they disagree.

If I could, I would challenge the people at ColorOfChange.org to produce a thoughtful and articulate statement as to exactly why Glenn Beck is incorrect, rather than playing a game of political intimidation through marketplace manipulation.

In the meantime, thanks for stopping by - and your thoughts are always welcome.

On The Road To Recovery?

As reported by WIVB Channel 4 in Buffalo, NY, Castle Products, located in Rochester, New York is on a hiring spree.

It seems that ever since the inception of President Obama's immaculate concept, The Car Allowance Rebate System - more commonly known as "Cash For Clunkers," Castle Products can not keep enough product on its shelf to meet demand.

As part of the "Cash For Clunkers" agreement, dealerships are to follow a procedure as outlined here. The Clunker Bomb- a "liquid glass" made primarily of sodium silicate, kills a motor when poured in.

The Clunker Bomb is to be used once all of the oil is drained out of the engine of the vehicle being "clunked." After a few more steps, a few simple procedures can be taken to assure that the "bombing" is done properly.

It seems there is so much demand for "The Clunker Bomb" that Castle Products has hired on six additional full time employees. However, there have been no statements from management at Castle Products regarding the security of those new employees, as The Car Allowance Rebate System ends on Monday.

You don't have to represent them...

A classic Chris Matthews & MSNBC moment. If you don't want to bore yourself with the rest of the nonsense, the most telling moment comes literally at the end of the segment, about 9:38 into the video. Listen to what Matthews says, and Weiner doesn't deny...

Sowing the seeds of Astroturf...

A portion of this video appeared on "The O'Reilly Factor" tonight, and I feel it is worth seeing in full. A young woman with a microphone and a camera, whose work is linked to http://www.sophiaelena.com/, explains that she is outside the offices of Senator Diane Feinstein in Santa Monica, CA. She very fairly describes that protesters have gathered "in support and in opposition of the health care bill."

It is worth mentioning that Victoria Jackson makes an appearance in this video. Any time Victoria Jackson speaks about Barack Obama I can't help but wonder if she is the least or most effective voice the Conservative movement could ask for. While she is incredibly correct in everything she says, and of course comes from Hollywood - land of the liberal, she is also dangerously simple which sadly leaves her open as a target for ridicule from the liberal elite.

There is a very well spoken description of the entire issue, at about 4:35 into the first clip.

In this second clip, notice the guy in the Obama shirt who tells her they "were told to be here at 3 o'clock" and then the guy who tries to sell "Organizing for America" as grassroots. And the guy at the end who "will sue you if you use my image on YouTube or anywhere else" - classic.

Drill Baby Drill

As reported by The Wall Street Journal, President Obama is going to lend billions of dollars to Brazil's state-owned oil company, Petrobras, to finance exploration of the huge offshore discovery in Brazil's Tupi oil field in the Santos Basin near Rio de Janeiro.

Yes, you read correctly. The U.S. Export-Import Bank tells The Wall Street Journal it has issued a "preliminary commitment" letter to Petrobras in the amount of $2 billion and has discussed with Brazil the possibility of increasing that amount.

The Export-Import Bank does not receive appropriations from Congress, and therefore does not rely on taxpayer dollars. The bank will not be sending money directly to Petrobras; instead it will be extending lines of credit to U.S. firms so they can compete to land contracts as part of Petrobras' drilling operations.

So it would appear at first glance that while the environmentally-friendly Obama administration is not willing to allow off-shore drilling along U.S. coastal regions, it is more than happy to facilitate such actions abroad.

When questioned Thursday, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs was not prepared to comment.

One further and very important note: As reported by Bloomberg.com, Billionaire investor George Soros cut his stake in his biggest holding, Petroleo Brasileiro SA, in the second quarter while buying more shares of other energy producers.

His New York-based hedge-fund firm, Soros Fund Management LLC, sold 22 million U.S.-listed common shares of Petrobras, as the Brazilian oil company is known, according to a filing today with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Soros bought 5.8 million of the company’s U.S.-traded preferred shares.

Soros is taking advantage of the spread between the two types of U.S.-listed Petrobras shares, said Luis Maizel, president of LM Capital Group LLC, which manages about $4 billion. The common shares were 21 percent more expensive than preferred today, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.

“He knows he held a voting right in the common shares that would never translate to actual power,” Maizel said in an interview from San Francisco. “He’s just playing the spread.”

"O" no...

It seems that once again, the radical, angry, astro-turf, extremist right-wing mob has made enough noise to cause the "Ogenda" to be changed, or at least the Oministration has been made to take a look at its policies and procedures.

In a step taken after much pressure from Fox News' Major Garrett on behalf of "We, the little people," The White House today announced changes to its website which should, they believe, stop Americans from receiving unsolicited emails. Following the controversy over the e-mails, the White House has added two new filter devices to its "Contact Us" section on its Web site, which could reduce the number of people who receive e-mails unsolicited.

Now, anybody who fills out a comment on that section must uncheck a box that says, "sign up to get e-mail updates." The box is automatically checked when the page loads, so commenters must take an action to uncheck it.

Anyone submitting a comment now also must type in two words that appear on the page in a strange font -- a security step similar to one that appears on many commercial Web sites (including this one).

"We are implementing measures to make subscribing to e-mails clearer, including preventing advocacy organizations from signing people up to our lists without their permission when they deliver petition signatures and other messages on individuals' behalf. We are implementing measures to make subscribing to e-mails clearer, including preventing advocacy organizations from signing people up to our lists without their permission when they deliver petition signatures and other messages on individuals' behalf," White House spokesman Nick Shapiro said In a written statement released to FOX News Sunday.

The White House indicated its Web site managers were going to seek out and block online petitions so that people can only sign up for information individually.

Additionally, Fox News reported that The White House has closed the controversial 'flag@whitehouse.gov' email account.

White House officials say they're not intentionally trying to contact people who don't want to be contacted, and they don't want the controversy to deepen.

But Scott Stanzel, former spokesman for President George W. Bush, said the White House, and not advocacy groups, are to blame.

"The Obama White House developed their own Web site. They are in charge of Whitehouse.gov and what people do on there. They are responsible for monitoring that and they are responsible for making sure that people can't misuse Whitehouse.gov," he said. "On that point, they failed.
From that respect, the explanation is not thorough and, in my view, places blame where it shouldn't be. They should be looking in the mirror instead of pointing the finger at third parties."

Fox News story here...

Sunday, August 16, 2009

As I originally wrote about on Friday, August 14th, Fox News Channel's Major Garrett has raised questions regarding The White House sending unsolicited emails regarding health care reform. This led Press Secretary Robert Gibbs to give evasive answers, and Fox News Channel to file a Freedom Of Information request, to obtain the full e-mail distribution list for the Axelrod health care e-mail and all internal White House e-mails about the list's creation.

The White House for the first time Sunday somewhat acknowledged that people across the country received unsolicited e-mails last week on health care from the administration, suggesting the problem on third-party groups it claimed placed the recipients' names on the distribution list.

In a written statement released exclusively to FOX News, White House spokesman Nick Shapiro said the White House hopes those who received the e-mails without signing up for them were not "inconvenienced" by the messages.

"The White House e-mail list is made up of e-mail addresses obtained solely through the White House Web site. The White House doesn't purchase, upload or merge from any other list, again, all e-mails come from the White House Web site as we have no interest in e-mailing anyone who does not want to receive an e-mail," the statement said. "If an individual received the e-mail because someone else or a group signed them up or forwarded the e-mail, we hope they were not too inconvenienced."

The White House previously would not answer questions on how the e-mails landed unsolicited in so many inboxes. White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs on Thursday said he couldn't give an answer until he saw who received the e-mails because he doesn't have "omnipotent clarity."

Yet the White House ignored repeated offers from FOX News to share with the administration such e-mail addresses, to help determine how the recipients ended up on the White House distribution list.

"Further, we suggest that they unsubscribe from the list by clicking the link at the bottom of the em-ail or tell whomever forwarded it to them not to forward such information anymore. We are implementing measures to make subscribing to e-mails clearer, including preventing advocacy organizations from signing people up to our lists without their permission when they deliver petition signatures and other messages on individual’s behalf.""

Now, if there is truth to the statement put forward by The White House that "The White House doesn't purchase, upload or merge from any other list," how exactly can The White House claim that the problem lies with "third party groups it claimed placed the recipients' names on the distribution list?"

Does this White House really have that little control over private information that may or may not need to be interactive with White House servers, and what does this tell us about... oh, let's say privacy with regards to our health records??

Support Whole Foods Market

While there are a few Whole Foods Market stores within reasonable driving distance of my home, I had never heard of them until this weekend. However, due to a Wall Street Jornal Op-Ed written by the company's chief executive, John Mackey, in which he criticized President Obama's health care plan and offered his own alternative, I am now a proud supporter (and soon to be consumer) of their stores.

I was particularly intrigued by the plan that Whole Foods Market offers their employees, as it is similar to that which my employer offers. We have a medium-deductible plan, for which employees are eligible immediately upon direct hire. This plan has a reasonable payroll deduction for the first year. Dental coverage and eye-care are available as well. Upon completion of one full year of service, 100 percent of all three services are paid in full by my employer. My employer does not offer "Personal Wellness Accounts," which I find to be a particularly impressive part of the Whole Foods Market program.

I took some time to look over the Whole Foods Market website. I found it very interesting that this company operates on the surface in a way that would typically be supported by the most extreme left of America. On their front page they have an article about a couple that "raises grass-fed beef and lamb and pastured chicken, turkey and pork." They talk about the "Green Children's visit to Bangladesh" and have a song inspired by this visit. On their blog is "Eating with Dave Matthews Band," and they have a "signature reusable shopping bag" endorsed by Sheryl Crow.

Honestly, this is a store I typically might never consider shopping in. I'm guessing it has a feel much like "One Earth" (if you watched The Goode Family you know what I mean) but today I'm making exceptions, in support of a great Capitalist who needs our help.

I hope you all consider Whole Foods Market if they have a store in your area. A tip of the hat to Nicke at The Goomba News Network for the article that gave me enough interest to learn more.

Sebelius: Public Health Care Option "Not The Essential Element"

As reported by The AP, President Barack Obama's administration signaled on Sunday it is ready to abandon the idea of giving Americans the option of government-run insurance as part of a new health care system.

Facing mounting opposition to the overhaul, administration officials left open the chance for a compromise with Republicans that would include health insurance cooperatives instead of a government-run plan.

Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said that government alternative to private health insurance is "not the essential element" of the administration's health care overhaul. The White House would be open to co-ops, she said, a sign that Democrats want a compromise so they can declare a victory.

Such a concession probably would enrage Obama's liberal supporters but could deliver a much-needed "victory" on a top domestic priority opposed by GOP lawmakers.

Mixing Business with Politics at GEICO

Well, that didn't take long. I just checked my email, and received this letter from GEICO:

Please include the following line in all replies.
Tracking number: GT20090816_0000000251

GEICO Indemnity Company

August 15, 2009

Dear Soloman:

Thank you, first of all for your business and also for your interest in this matter.

This week we took action to move our marketing messages from the Glenn Beck show and you are wondering why.

Well you deserve an answer.

If the inflammatory nature of the comments on a program overshadows our message and causes GEICO to be drawn into a national debate, we are likely to reconsider where we place our marketing messages, which is what we did.

GEICO delivers very important messages through its major marketing campaigns: we’re saving customers’ dollars, we’re easy to do business with, we’re looking out for our policyholders. That’s what we hope the public hears and sees and focuses on.

As a company, we do not take positions on controversial issues.

As an advertiser, while a national debate on issues can be healthy and appropriate, we don’t see ourselves in the role of taking part in those debates.

Our business is auto insurance. We want to bring people value and we attempt to reach large audiences with that message.

It is of little benefit to us if a program gets so much attention that our message is drowned out.

GEICO Corporate Communications

Now, let me get this straight... please - ANYONE correct me if you think I'm lost here.

They said - and I quote, "As a company, we do not take positions on controversial issues." As an advertiser, while a national debate on issues can be healthy and appropriate, we don’t see ourselves in the role of taking part in those debates. "

Yet they seem to have taken a position on this controversial issue?!?!

"It is of little benefit to us if a program gets so much attention that our message is drowned out."

However.. isn't it of great benefit to you if a program which you sponsor receives great attention???

"Our business is auto insurance. We want to bring people value and we attempt to reach large audiences with that message. "

Again.. what better way to "reach a large audience with that message" than to advertise with the broadcast that has the largest audience. Last I checked, Glenn Beck has the best ratings in Cable News in his time slot...

Looks Like GEICO will be losing a customer...

On a side note... I received auto-replies from Roche and ConAgra as well.

{update 12:25am}

Here is the reply I sent to GEICO:

To whom it may concern;

Your letter to me stated "As a company, we do not take positions on controversial issues"

Honestly, it seems that's exactly what you did. If your business interests were really "We want to bring people value and we attempt to reach large audiences with that message" you would consider the ratings of the Glenn Beck Program and realize that one statement does not an entire program make.

I am very bothered by this decision, especially knowing that a majority owner of GEICO is owner of t
he Berkshire Hathaway Company William Buffet, a large contributor to the DNC and to Barack Obama's Presidential campaign.

As I stated in my original communication, I will be monitoring this situation, and when my policy comes up for renewal I will take this issue into consideration. I also have posted both my letter and your reply letter on a personal blog, and will be communicating with my family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors, asking them to consider this "non-position" GEICO has taken should they decide to shop for insurance of any type.

Sincerely,

Soloman

Glenn Beck Sponsorship

I have written the following letters to companies who have recently dropped their sponsorship of Glenn Beck.

While it is a personal decision to get involved to this level, I encourage each of you who read this post to copy my letters, edit to fit your needs or style, and sent them to the appropriate addresses. Also, please send a link to this page to any friend or family mamber who might feel that these businesses are making ill-advised decisions by dropping their sponsorship of Glenn Beck.

This is a battle of ideas, and good business practice is one of the ideas I believe in more than any other. To allow partisan politics to interfere with potential profit is not a prudent business decision. I believe over time these places of business will see the error of their ways, but any encouragement is helpful.

Radio Shack

To - RadioShack.Customer.Care@RadioShack.com

I am writing this letter to tell you that I am extremely disappointed in your recent decision to drop sponsorship of Glenn Beck on FNC.

Until I learn otherwise, I will no longer be a consumer of your products, and I will tell all my friends, family, and coworkers to please avoid your stores and products.

There are plenty of other electronics retailers available. While they might not offer quite the same service, they are not making business decision based on partisan politics, and therefore will have my business from this day forward.

Sincerely,

The next few, I felt, fit the same letter:

sanofi-aventis - https://contactus.sanofi-aventis.us/customerInformation.aspx

Roche - http://www.roche.com/contact_form.htm

Proctor & Gamble - http://pg.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/pg.cfg/php/enduser/ask.php

Lawyers.com - http://www.lawyers.com/utility/contact_us/index.php ( I selected testimonials)

ConAgra Foods - http://www.conagrafoodscompany.com/utilities/corporate/corp_feedback.jsp

I am writing to inform you of my extreme disappointment, as I learned you have dropped your sponsorship of Glenn Beck on FNC.

I feel this decision is not made in the interest of good business, but rather in the interest of partisan politics.

Unless I learn that you have changes your decision, I will do all I can to avoid use of your products. I will ask my family, friends, and coworkers to do the same. I also will be posting this letter to my personal blog, and asking anyone who read it to consider their choices, and hope they will make an effort to avoid your products as well.

Thank you.

And finally, Geico - http://www.geico.com/about/contactus/email/

I am writing to inform you of my extreme disappointment, as I learned you have dropped your sponsorship of Glenn Beck on FNC.

I feel this decision is not made in the interest of good business, but rather in the interest of partisan politics.

I am currently a GEICO customer. However, when my policy expires, unless I learn you have changed your position regarding advertisements during Glenn Beck's program, I will be canceling my policy and securing automobile insurance with another provider.

Thank you very much.

Emailing companies and informing them you are not impressed by their politics interfering in their business decisions - so easy a caveman can do it.

Make Mine Freedom

This video appeared on Glenn Beck's website back in June. I find it absolutely amazing that we are still having exactly the same discussion today.

Thank God we're still having the discussion... Dr. Ism hasn't managed to sell us his wares just yet. I think we know in whose direction the bottles are being thrown...

Tainted Gov

I checked in on The 9/12 Project's website tonight for the first time in a while... and found this interesting parody of the old Soft Cell song from the 80's "Tainted Love." This one's called "Tainted Gov" and takes a good laugh at recent events. Enjoy...

Fixed News?

As reported by Fox News Channel, some Americans are claiming to have received unsolicited emails from The White House regarding health care reform. FOX News has obtained permission from some who have received these emails, and The White House on Friday said it would review some of the names of recipients to determine how they ended up on the distribution list.

This all seems to have started due to the belief of White House senior adviser David Axelrod that opponents of President Obama's health care reform are relying on tactics including "viral e-mails that fly unchecked and under the radar, spreading all sorts of lies.

"So let's start a chain of e-mail of our own," he said, inviting supporters to forward a message countering claims that Obama's plans would lead to rationing, encourage euthanasia or deplete veterans' health care. But some people who received the e-mails directly from the White House forwarded them to FOX News and asked how they ended up on the list when they've never been in communication with the Obama administration. Some wondered if visiting the White House Web site automatically places them on an e-mail distribution list.

Gibbs has been very evasive of Garrett's questions regarding these emails, and The White House has recently made statements about how "We all have something to lose... if we let cable television come to town hall meetings, and kill health care reform for another year and put the special interests back in charge."

So I'm sorry report to you tonight that Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow, and Anderson Cooper will no longer be allowed to broadcast reports from town hall meetings.

Thursday, August 13, 2009

There is a well known bias in the media, and we are watching an extraordinary display of said bias on a daily basis as this "Health Care Reform" debate continues in the grocery stores and High School Gymnasiums across America. The debate is also taking place in the parking lots of said locations... well, that's where people against reform are now gathering as SEIU and ACORN "grassroots" people fill the arenas where our elected representatives, such as Sheila Jackson Lee take phone calls during Q&A sessions.

However, nothing displays today's media bias as well as this wonderful compare and contrast put together by Noel Sheppard at Newsbusters.

I guess it's only fashionable to negatively depict protesters when they don't agree with a President you helped get elected.

Watch the peaceful, loving liberals as they peacefully and lovingly speak freely about that horrible tyrant, George W. Bush. Oh... I can smell the patchouli mixing with the stench of 5 days without a shower now...

{warning, adult language}

In this clip, it's particularly interesting to note how "The Corporate Media" made up a lie about how rioting started. And of course, the left would never compare an American President to Hitler or police to Fascists.

Debunking the Debunking

Today in an article written by The Associated Press, regarding the removal of the end-of-life provision in the Senate version of "Health Care Reform," the AP claimed it had debunked Sarah Palin's "death panel" claim.

From the article:

"In a widely quoted Facebook posting, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin charged that federal bureaucrats would play God, ruling on whether ailing seniors or children with Down syndrome — such as Palin's son Trig — are worthy of health care. Palin called the proposal "downright evil."

Many news organizations — including The Associated Press — debunked Palin's claim. The provision that caused the uproar would authorize Medicare to pay doctors for voluntary counseling about end-of-life care."

A bit later in the article, they described Palin's latest Facebook post:

"Palin did not respond to requests for comment. But in a Facebook posting late Wednesday night, Palin defended her original claim, which President Barack Obama and other Democrats have criticized.

"With all due respect, it's misleading for the president to describe this section as an entirely voluntary provision that simply increases the information offered to Medicare recipients," she said, noting that the provision authorizes consultations whenever a Medicare recipient's health changes significantly or when they enter a nursing home.

Since the bill's intent is to reduce overall health care costs, it's logical to assume that care for seniors may be curtailed, Palin said.

"It's all just more evidence that the Democratic legislative proposals will lead to health care rationing, and more evidence that the top-down plans of government bureaucrats will never result in real health care reform," she wrote. "

So if I understand correctly, the AP debunked Palin's "death panel" claim, yet after said "debunking" Palin was somehow able to clearly state that the intent of "Health Care Reform" is to reduce costs, which may lead to rationing - and the AP was not able to provide evidence to the contrary.

Thank goodness we have the AP to trust for integrity in journalism.

MSNBC Lies on Behalf Of Obama

While this is not a "hit piece," it is frightening that a major and well respected news organization would allow such an untruth to be broadcast without immediate retraction. Feel free to watch the entire clip, but please take particular interest at 3:05 into the clip:

Here, however, is proof positive that Lawrence O'Donnell is flat out not telling the truth about President Obama's past statements regarding 'single payer' health insurance.

"Nobody is talking about some government takeover of health care."

Yeah, right. Please, President Obama, be honest with us. And please stop worrying about the "disinformation" that is true. You need to worry about real disinformation, coming from your apparent propaganda arm at NBC.

Let The Infighting Begin

Courtesy of The Huffington Post:

Former Democratic National Committee chair Howard Dean fired one of the clearest warning shots at hesitant Democratic lawmakers on Thursday, insisting that if the party was unable to produce a health care bill with a public plan, there would be electoral consequences.

"I do think there will be primaries as the result of all this, if the bill doesn't pass with a public option," Dean said, in a phone interview with the Huffington Post.

The former Vermont governor added the caveat that he thought "cooler heads" would ultimately prevail and that a government run option for insurance coverage would be passed. But his remarks are some of the most threatening yet to be directed at Democrats from within the party.

Dean, who is a keynote speaker at the Netroots Nation conference at Pittsburgh this week, said he was "in favor" of holding recalcitrant senators and congressman accountable on health care related issues.

America, Shut The Hell Up!

It seems that "The One," Barack Hussein Obama The Almighty, has had enough of We The People.

In a speech somewhere in Virginia today, "The One" said this:

Now, Your Higness... to be fair - if you don't want the folks who created the mess to do a lot of talking, I'd like to suggest you go to Congress and tell them - all of them who are on at least their second term - to keep their mouths shut and listen to their constituents when they come home to these town hall meetings over "summer recess."

Dear Annointed One, it is my sincere belief that if you take my suggestion and have those Congressional Representatives listen instead of silencing the "angry mob" at those meetings, you might find there is a reason for the anger you see.

You see, Dear Leader, We The People do not want what we see from other nations that have been pushed into a "single payer" system that you seem to believe is best for America. We are fully aware of what that kind of system will do to our medical care industry. We are aware that while it may force people into taking insurance they currently choose not to have, and while it may insure 12-20 million people who are here in an undocumented (illegal) status, your "single payer" system will fundamentally destroy the quality of health care, the timeliness of procedures, and ultimately cost more for all people than the system we currently have in place.

President Obama, send your Brownshirts home. There was no violence until your goons from SEIU & ACORN arrived at these meetings, now things are getting ugly. Listen, do not preach. Show some respect to those who elected you - all of those who elected you, because even many who voted you in...now want you out.
